Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE OSAKA
We did not have the breakfast, wish the airport limousine/shuttle stopped in front of the hotel. Even if the pickup area was a block away, it was raining the day we left so we got wet along with the luggage. Otherwise convenient location and friendly staff and amenities.

The Minn Gion is a very good choice. I gave it 4 stars becasue I am a hard marker. It is well located in the northern part of the Gion district but only 5 to 10 minutes walk due south to the heart of the district. Compact, clean rooms with kitchenette and amenities. MONday Apart Premium KYOTO Station 
We enjoyed our stay at Monday. The room was large in comparison to other hotels in Japan. We enjoyed the laundry machine and kitchen… and the food mart was located conveniently next door. The only complaints we had were we found the bed uncomfortable and the room smelled of curry when we arrived. ...
