Double billed
Was doubled billed for stay. Had to pay cash on arrival and then my credit card was also billed. Contacted hotels.com and hotel refused to remove extra billing. In addition phone listed was incorrect and location on map was also wrong. However the staff wasnice and shuttle worked once I had correct phone number, listed in another review.

This property was excellent value for money. It was challenging to navigate with a language barrier while in China, however the receptionist Eliza (Lee Chaoxian) was incredible. She made our whole trip smooth. We could not have navigated our transfers and stay without her. Her willingness to work with us and bright demeanor was wonderful. She is an asset to the Hotel and a lovely person. We would book again based on her service alone.

Fine for an overnight
For an overnight between flights, this hotel was totally fine. The shuttle service worked out well, and reception was friendly and helpful. The condition of the room was the main sore spot... holes in sheets and pillowcases so those made me question the cleanliness and upkeep, but again, for a 12 hour stay it was more than fine.

Communication was difficult, although the staff tried the best with the help of ap. Pick up/ drop off driver was very helpful with the luggage. Suggestions: It would be better if airport pick up was provided upon arrival rather than having to phone them upon arrival. We provided the hotel with out flight information. Improve boxed breakfast. Our price included breakfast but the hotel did not serve breakfast until later in the morning. Staff offered boxed breakfast which was bare minimum comprising a tiny bun, a small tetra pack milk cartoon and a boiled egg.

Fine hotel, impossible to contact w Expedia’s info
The hotel was fine but your (Expedia’s)contact phone number for them was completely wrong. I had to get three English speaking Chinese people in shanghai and Kunming to look it up in Chinese and get a completely different number: 0871 6351 1028. I got to the hotel at 4:15am instead of 2am because of Expedias bad contact info!

Convenient and cheap but not comfortable
The hotel is really cheap and located near the airport so this place is good if you just need a place to stay before your flight. However, the place is pretty dirty and run down. There's a lot of noise outside the hotel and the sound of planes taking off and landing can be heard throughout the night. This isn't a place you'll want to spend any significant amount of time at.

Decent. Good for layover at airport.
It was a decent place. No frills, good for staying on a quick layover at the airport; as it’s close and they have a free shuttle. That was probably the best part. The lobby is the nicest part, the rooms are simple, kind of grungy and outdated.

We booked 1 night as a transit layover at this hotel through Expedia. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle. If you dont speak chinese, there is no way to request the free shuttle in advance.The hotel staff dont speak any English. I called but they didnt understand. The location that google maps shows (1.7km, 5 mins drive/ 15mins walk) is incorrect. The hotel is about a 15-20mins drive from the Kunming Changshui airport. When i showed them the printed itinerary, she asked me to pay. I said that i had paid using Expedia, she didnt understand. She copied every word I wrote down on my phone to her phone's 'English to Chinese translation' app, and then she wrote down Chinese text that the App translated to English to communicate that I needed to pay. I gave her my credit card, but her credit card machine didnt work, so she asked for cash. Since I didnt anticipate needing to pay Yuan cash, i wasnt carrying any. She said I could pay in USD but asked for some amount higher than what my printed itinerary showed Also, I wasnt carrying that exact change. She said then pay the round number. I told her that the charge is supposed to be lower, and she said extra charge as she needs to go to bank to convert my USD to Yuan. I gave her USD, and she walked around to find change from some other folks and gave me change. The room was extremely cold (18C) and heater didnt work. The bed either had a very hard mattress, or perhaps it was just the box, with no mattress. It was painful. Avoid.

this was a terrible experience. The room had climate control, but the heating unit did not functin. Room was 17 c all night.

Carpet was not clean. However, the beds were comfortable and clean. Good value for money. Staff does not speak English fluently so communication is a bit challenging.

pictures looked nice but its much dingier in reality. room has water damage and not much to offer. I really only needed a roof for the night so I would have rather stayed at a cheaper place since this place wasn't great anyways.

Difficult to communicate
The staff was very patient as we tried to communicate with each other via translation apps - check-in took about an hour because we couldn't understand each other. They were very nice but I think next time we'll go to a hotel where it'll be easier to communicate!

My credit card statement shows that I paid twice
Somehow the hotel received the same payment for my room TWICE. Since the counter staff did not speak any English, I could not communicate that they were overcharging me--or they didn't want to hear it. I was too tired to continue arguing, so I gave up at that point. Bad experience for something that was so clearly wrong.

Language problems. I thought I had paid Expedia for room. So I may have paid twice. Since it was only $33, it wasn't so bad. Nice place, room.

Frozen nightmare...
Double payed. I already pay through hotels.com but they insist to pay the amount again. They said hotels.com will cancel the payment but seems no reaction fro hotels.com. A fraud.... Also the location shown on the map of hotels.com and the real location of the hotel were very different. I thought I got kidnapped at the first time. Picture is totally photoshopped. Do not believe it. It was 10 degree celcius in the room whole night since the temperature control system got broken. It was definetely a room for Olaf from Frozen. It is just enough for staying a night if you have early morning flight. Do not expect anything. Just enough for one night staying.

Airport transit hotel
I stayed there on the first and last night of my trip because arrival flight at midnight and departure at 7:40am. Asked the information desk lady on arrival floor to call up the hotel for free transport. She told me where to wait. Ride is 20 minutes. And 5-10 minutes since the van pick up/drop off guests of many hotels in that town. Room is spacious and clean. Basic amenities. TV has multi language channels. Staff helpful and professional. They helped me contact another hotel in downtown as I don't have a local phone card, gave wake-up call w/o my asking and helped me with my luggage. Many souvenir shops,supermarkets and restaurants (no western food) nearby.
