"This was my 3rd short trip to this hotel and, once again, it met or exceeded all my expectations. Hotel pays for yellow cab from airport, so journey is quick & easy. All staff, from reception to restaurant to housekeeping to pool & gym are delightful and do all they can to please and to ensure guests’ needs are met and stays are enjoyable. Rooms are traditional in style, which adds to their cosiness and charm. They are spacious & clean with modern facilities, air con, fridge, kettle, tea & coffee, many with either pool view or woodland and effective double-glazing that insulates from both the aircraft noise from the nearby airport, the traffic noise from the adjacent main road (if your room overlooks the front of the hotel) and the intense heat from the summer sun. Restaurant offers an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet (€22/20/22 extra if not included in room rate) and all public and pool areas are bright, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I didn’t use the gym, hammam or massage services but I understand they are good. If you’re looking for a comfortable stay in a beautiful, natural setting, with great food and friendly staff, then look no further. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay/s and look forward to returning soon."

"I have the pleasure of traveling quite frequently and stay at a lot of hotels and I had a wonderful experience at Akra. The hotel was impeccably clean, the food quality was great, there was always helpful staff to answer any questions, the beach area is very well kept and organized, and the gym is one of the best hotel gyms I’ve ever been to."

"The hotel is situated next to the old town and is about a 20-minute walk from the beach, which is not a public beach. To reach the nearest open beach, you will need to take a bus and then walk for about 10 minutes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, I found the edge of the bathtub to be unsafe it has a sharp metal edge that has caused my leg to hurt every time I've used the toilet."

"The hotel is great! The new one! Very comfortable beds. It ‘s close to the airport , about 6-8 min drive only ( be aware, some of the taxi drivers do not want to go there from the airport as it close and the hotel doesn’t offer the shuttle bus)."

"The most wonderful, kind and attentive hosts. I can’t praise the l hotel owner and his staff enough. They consistently went above and beyond to help us. The owner even gave us a suitcase to replace our broken one and wouldn’t take any money from us. The hotel its self was very clean and great value. It’s very close to the airport. Outside there is a small connivence store cafe that is popular with local taxi drivers and has a lovely community feel with children playing ball. The family working in the morning sat and had tea with us in the morning and would sit with us to check we had everything we needed in the evening. Always offering their own cigarettes. I’m surprised people are complaining about noise as the hotel is not in a resort area, but in a city suburb and so close to the airport that you would expect to hear daily noises and planes. We didn’t find communication an issue, we just used google translate when everyone got stuck. Staff gave directions into town and a hotel card incase I got lost so I could use it to help get directions / a taxi back. Outstanding. All our best wishes and thanks to the staff. "
