"Very Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend This hotel was by far the worst of the five we stayed at during our time in Bali. We booked a deluxe pool room, but instead of a nice pool view, we were stuck looking at an unused, dirty pool. While they did have another pool that was in better condition, it felt frustrating to have been placed in a room overlooking such an unappealing sight. There were multiple issues throughout our stay. Our check-in was delayed by 30 minutes, and the room quality was very basic, with a run-down bathroom that was far from acceptable. For a hotel with high reviews, the poor room and bathroom conditions were shocking. The service was equally disappointing. We ordered food and drinks, but the drinks were forgotten, and when I raised this, there was no follow-up. The assistant initially offered to waive our lunch bill as an apology for the issues, but later changed it to drinks only. At checkout, I was surprised to see that I was still being charged for the drinks, and it took them another 5 minutes to sort it out after I questioned the bill. To add to the confusion, I was told one price for a taxi to the airport, but when we checked out, the hotel charged me a lower price. I questioned this, and they insisted it was correct. However, during the ride to the airport, the driver received a phone call saying we had underpaid. This was very frustrating, especially since the confusion was entirely on the hotel's end. Overall, the service was poor"

"Most important feedback I could provide is simply, if the prices don't become astronomical then I'll be back. The longer version: I spent a week here, as somebody who doesn't feel confident with scooters just yet, the location was supreme; in the heart and in walking distance of everything/anything you need. The staff are friendly, not overbearing, happy to teach me their language and playful while being attentive. Everything was clean, the air conditioning works as it should, the beds and pillows are great, the blinds are blackout and when you close the door you can't hear a thing other than the prayers which are really loud and play throughout the night... I'm not sure how often and you are provided with earplugs to sleep with at night, I'm not a light sleeper so although it did wake me up it wasn't difficult for me to fall back to sleep. You could probably aid this by putting a towel down near the doors too. The cocktails were really good, the food was simple but yummy and made quickly and I rated the coffee as well! Nothing compares to Australian coffee IMO but I was happy to have my coffees at the hotel. They organised my car service back to the airport, I would have rathered a scooter but was talked out of it, however after travelling around in Bali I now know that the driver can put my carry on luggage in front of their legs with no issues and wouldn't take a car again, it's more expensive and way less fun."

"The hotel itself was really good. It's very quiet, and the room is excellent for the price you pay. However, it's a long walk into town, and the area around it is under construction, so outside the hotel itself is rather dirty. But overall, I liked it very much."

"This was the best hotel we have ever stayed at!!!! We have stayed at some of the best hotels around the world and Tampah Hills blows them all out of the water! From the moment you arrive at your villa you’re welcomed by the friendliest staff. They will go out of their way to accommodate any needs you may have, and will truly do everything in their power to make you feel at home. You’ll have a WhatsApp number to contact if there is anything you may want, and they will literally meet almost any request you may have. For example, we requested a romantic dinner on our pool deck in our villa the day of and they drove all the way to the main town on Lombok, 2 hours away, to buy flowers for the setup and make sure everything was perfect! We thought this was a one and done hotel but it is well worth the extra effort of going to Lombok and we will be making this a standard trip of ours now! Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer! Thank you so much for everything! "
