Unique experience
Really unique experience living on a boat! Receptionist lady was amazing. Air-conditioned. Space not big but comfortable. And walking distance from the lovely district of podil.

Different place to stay, good location and clean
The location is very good, it needs a little more care, the ship was a luxury boat back in it's good days, it is clean good value for the price, it was a little hard for the taxi to access the parking area which is parallel to a very important and high speed highway. If you are not picky and would like to stay within walking distance of most mayor sights this is your place.

Cheap, but not particularly cheerful!
As the price suggests, this is a very basic accommodation. For me it was too basic. The sheets didn't get changed for the entire duration of my stay, the room was not clean, there was nobody around to help, it was just not good for me. I met some guys who were staying in a hostel 10 mins walk away and there accommodation for the same price so much nicer! The only redeeming feature of this place is that it is well located and within walking distance of the main attractions in the city and shops etc.

No kettle to make a coffee in the room, WiFi on and off one WiFi box on stairs to service upstairs and down, hotel administrator got me a taxi a friend who changed me 800 UAH £22 100Uah on the skybus and lots would of charged up to 500 so hotel taxi expensive,

Hotel was good for the price and a unique experience. Staff were excellent - even went and got a sim card for his phone when my husband was robbed and needed to phone the bank to cancel his cards.

It was OK, but it was cold in the room and the breakfast was missing, I have gotten an information, there is not possibility to get paid breakfast. Towels and bed linen were not changed. Nice persons at the reception!

Wonderful value
Wonderful place to stay given our budget. Staff were kind and helpful. Room was clean and the experience of stayinh on a boat was unique. I'm quite tall so the bed was a bit small to for me and my partner. Everything else was perfect.

Booking was a mini suite. Tiny dirty room No housekeeping - beds not touched, towels not changed ..... nothing. No air conditioning - reservation stated it had No king bed - reservation said king bed, it was smaller than a double (king single maybe!) No shower curtain No hook on wall to hold shower head - no fun holding it between you knees when showering! Bad, bad hotel, never again!

Fun accommodation!
I enjoyed the novelty of staying on an old riverboat. Podil is a great neighborhood with a lot going on, so the location was nice. It is closer to the metro than I originally realized. Check in and checkout were a breeze. My Uber driver had a hard time finding it one night, but I had no trouble getting there from the airport on my own.

Interesting little hotel right on the river
It was smaller and older than I had imagined but quite quaint nonetheless. It is a former little old Soviet cruise ship now permanently berthed on the bank of the Dnieper River right next to St Nicolas Wondermaker on the Water Church.

On the Dnieper, without any rocking
It is always great to stay in a boat, especially when you can enjoy the silence of the Dnieper. I stayed in a single room without shower inside, so there was the need to go to the lower floor for that... all the rest was great

Stayed near city center on a Soviet cruise ship
So I stayed near the city center on a Soviet-era cruise ship. It was kind of like living on a floating museum, i.e. there was a hammer&sickle on the wall opposite the door to my cabin. Room was kind of small, but I've stayed in smaller rooms in Europe. The bed was reasonably comfortable; room had a bathroom (some rooms don't); TV was old but worked; most importantly, the hotel provided a portable electric radiator upon request, which was very much needed during a cold Kiev January. Could have been better, but for the price I paid I was satisfied.

Обрав цей варіант поселення завдяки оригінальності. У моєму одномісному номері було чисто, затишно, тепло. Людей не було чутно, хоча на сайті зазначалося, що вільних місць вже немає (після мого бронювання). Із невеличких зауважень - знайти номер телефона готеля через браузер мобільного - марна справа! Щоб попередити адміністратора про мій пізній приїзд, довелося дзвонити додому, щоб на компі знайшли моє замовлення і контакти готеля. Взагалі було цікаво і недорого, як для Києва!)

Jeg kom sent om natten og check-in forløb meget hurtigt. Prisen var sat ned efter midnat, så det blev til et meget billigt ophold. Meget stille botel. Men døren ud til gangen så meget slidt ud og en man nemt kunne åbne uden nøgle.

Wer eine originelle Unterkunft ohne Komfort sucht ist hier gut aufgehoben. Ein sehr kleines Zimmer mit äußerst schmalem Doppelbett. Leider kein Restaurant mehr an Board, demzufolge kein Frühstück. Lage des Bootes perfekt.

All is ok, but mosquitos
The experience is overall positive; room was little but enough comfortable; the only serious probe I had was with aggressive mosquitos; in 5 nights I killed almost 15 of them and I cannot understand from where they come in.

Einfach, originell, zentral
Altes Flussfahrtschiff in ebendieser Erscheinungsweise und Ausstattung. Auf dem Lobby-Deck (wo unsere "Kabine" lag) war es eher düster und schummrig, auf dem Oberdeck etwas heller und freundlicher. Ideal für einen kurzen Aufenthalt da viele Haupt-Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu Fuss erreichbar sind. Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gleich um die Ecke. Für diese laute Stadt unerwartet ruhig in der Nacht. Sehr nettes, hilfsbereites Personal.

Farklı bir deneyim
kiev'in podil bölgesinde bulunan, farklı bir deneyim yaşamak isteyenlerin tercih etmesi gereken bir otel. Eşyalar eski, yerler ve duvarlar halıfleks kaplı. Luks ve modernlik takıntısı olanlar tercih edip gereksiz yorumlar yazmasın boşuna. Odalarda klima var ama biz pencereden gelen doğal esintiyi tercih ettik. Orta hızda wi-fi var çok kötü degildi. Konumu çok güzeldi. Liman bölgesi çok hareketli ve gürültülü ama gemi 5dk mesafede olmasına rağmen çok sessiz ve sakindi. Nehirde dalga olmasına rağmen gemide sallanma durumları olmadı hiç. Biz açıkçası bu otelden çok memnun kaldık.

Das Boothotel liegt verkehrsgünstig im Bezirk Podil. Mit dem Bus 114 gelangt man (Hauptbahnhof - Universität - Maidan) bis zur Bushaltestelle "Borysohlibska St" (direkt vor dem Hote, resp. vor der Wasserkirche). Die nächstgelegene Metro-Haltestelle ist "Poshtova ploshcha Station". Der Bezirk "Podil" ist touristisch ideal. Viele Bars und Restaurants am Ufer des Dnipro. Das Schiffhotel an sich ist sauber, die Kabinen zweckmässig eingerichtet aber situationsbeindingt nicht sehr gross. Der Wasserstrahl in den Duschen ist sehr schwach. Das Internet ungenügend. Ein Restaurant auf dem Schiff gibt es nicht, etwas leichtest (z. B. zum Frühstück) kann man aber jederzeit bestellen, z. B. Omeletten und Getränke. Insgesamt empfehle ich das Hotel, wenn man die Erwartungen nicht sehr hoch ansetzt und etwas spezielles erleben möchte. Vor allem eine Suite eignet sich für romantische Stunden :-)
