Need a proper update!!
The entrance to the hotel is very nice. Looks up to date! Couple of lifts to get to your floor fairly quickly!! That is where all the good things really stop. The rooms are small. The bathroom even smaller. Furniture old but beds don't sleep too badly!! There seems to be very nice restaurants on site.

Soviet Feel
Very clean, comfortable and well maintained. The room i stayed in had a 1950s feel to it and I loved it Also very close to Metro and easy journey to City Centre. Only down vote is staff could be a little friendlier, imho.

Metro and some cafes is nearby, Very noisy even in night, water from water pipe is bad quality, air around is polluted. No definite politic of the hotel: After finished my booked nights I extended through front deck for Expedia price( usually it’s normal practice in most hotels), but in last day of my accommodation I paid for half day( flight was after midnight) and came paying after 18-00. But the night receptionist (Yuriy was his name) canceled price of I agreed with chief administrator in midday and established for me bigger price(from deck) . He told me : because you pay for half day. After my plan was changed , I changed the flight and decided to extend the room for two days. I called to receptionist in the day and she told me again, price will be the same like you paid for all time , but then I went to pay after 18-00 that night receptionist(yuriy) again increased the price, however before he told that price because the half day payment, but in this time he annulled this his version ( I wanted to pay for full day) an told me : I decide myself, I don’t want to know that the cheat administration decided before. I’m a night director! In result, he lied me two time like minimum. Such staff down the level of the hotel much lower then 3 stars hotel. World traveller- Valeriy

Good location, been renovated recently, good area for shopping, eating and getting around. Get jr suite or better for a better room. Fair price all the way around.

The room was ok a little small not a lot of free floor space, the bed was comfortable. My only problem was the size of the shower it was a corner unit that was only 2 feet on each side.

First room I got at 13 floor was horrible. Soviet style. Like we had in Norway in the 70's. Then I get a new room at 23 floor. That was with air-conditioning. And better bathroom. Had to pay around 40$ for the upgrade. This hotel can be okay/good if you stay in the correct room. It's very close to the metro and a Irish pub /restaurant.

Very good experience! Hotel is clean, close to shops, mall, hospital, subway. There’s a bar and cafeteria. Yes, rooms are a bit outdated but you get a good deal for this price. My room was on 16th floor overlooking Kyiv, amazing view.

The room was absolutely old (soviet condition). No hairdryer, no coffee, very small and not comfortable bed, bath is absolutely uncomfortable, toilet seat was broken, shower gel/shampoo was very bad so I needed to buy new shower gel and shampoo, use them two times and leave at the hotel because I had only cabin baggage. Wifi didn't work so I couldn't work normally. This hotel has cheap looking rooms which seems like in hostels.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It's was comfortable and reasonably located. The main downside was the room was 'dated', smelt of cigarette and looked as though it was in desrepair. I should add that the towels and bed linen were very clean.

I booked 2 rooms for my family to stay for 1 night. Since this hotel is on the left bank (so not in the city center), it was easier to get to and much better parking situation. My family reported that their stay was comfortable, the rooms were clean, staff welcoming, water temperature and pressure excellent, climate control (heat and AC) working in both rooms, breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Overall, they had an excellent stay!

The property is so close to the metro, it's literally less than 2 minute walk away. You can in independence Square in about 4 stops. This is a great positice for the hotel. The people on the welcome desk were very helpful and even let me check-in 3hours before the room was supposed to be available. The air con was really good and cooled the room down really quick. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was fine (extremely basic but that's what you get for the price). The reason why I gave it a low rating was because if how dated the room was. The bathroom was absolutely horrible and the warm water didn't run in the shower. There were flies coming out the plug hole which was disgusting.

Quite disappointing, could've been better
The Tourist hotel is in desperate need of renovation. As soon as you get to the room, you feel like you've been transported back to the Soviet Union times. The bed sheets look like they've been used for 20 years now. The towels aren't really soft. The room is stuffy and dusty. There is an ancient TV, it looks like it's from the 1950's and it probably just serves as a decoration by now. The service is okay. People aren't trying very hard, but they are doing their jobs. The bathroom seemed clean. The toiletries are minimal. The bed isn't very comfortable either. I didn't feel much rested after the night. One advice - renovation, and please get AC, it's 15th floor after all! (And the floors go up!)

Hotel was perfectly adequate for the price paid. Good location with convenient access to pubic transport making the city within easy reach. Views over Kiev were spectacular. My room was comfortable, quiet and cooled by efficient AC. Fast in-room wifi. Breakfast was also of a good standard of quality snd variety. Overall, an enjoyable stay.
