"Stayed at Avra By Smile Hotels for one night prior to flight out of Athens Airport. Nice and clean hotel and has restaurant that was open till 1030pm. Restaurant food and service was great, we got down there couple mins after 10pm without any issues; also got 15% discount card at check in. We used their hotel van for transport. For reference they have pick up from Airport on the 30s and leave hotel for drop off on the hour. We landed at 830pm got bags and were in bus lot by about 850pm and had to wait till 930pm for pick up. They have link to track van and see image of what van to look for, very helpful. They ask you to notify if need transport to Airport, so told them at check in we needed 6am for van to airport next morning, they just asked us to be down 10 mins early. They will not wait longer than time needed to load people/luggage, so if your tight to the 30 min mark to catch van know you might end up having to wait for next one. They did meet the timeframes they state. Was nice included perk."

"Over all our trip was pretty good coming from NZ as we meet a larger group of family here for a greek weeding. However as this place is mainly targeted at french we felt like second tier guests at times as many visitors don't speak english and are rather pushy and tend to take over, plus one staff member gave us a disscusted look when he realised we didn't speak french and then made comments passing us on other occasions. The pools are only open between 10-7 when there are lifeguards on and sports areas and equipment is the same but gear isn't available over the lunch period so we felt this was a little limiting when we had kids and the entertainment in the evenings was 95% french. Bunglows were kept tidy however were rather dated and came with a kitchen but were without any utensiles ect but unecessary considering full board. So whilst we did enjoy our stay we would unlikely come back"

"Great family hotel next to the seaside. Excellent staff and food. The hotel can use some renovation in the interior areas. Also the showers are open inside the room, which makes the water splash inside the bathroom. Great for a family weekend!"

"We had a fantastic stay at the Marathon Beach Resort! What truly set this experience apart was the incredible level of personal attention we received from the team. Highlights of our stay: • Going the Extra Mile: Even though the hotel wasn't officially serving dinner to other guests at the time, the owner went out of his way to ensure we felt valued by organizing a special meal just for us. • Delicious Vegetarian Options: As vegetarians, we were thrilled when Fatos at the restaurant welcomed us so warmly and prepared a beautiful, authentic Greek vegetarian feast for our whole family. • Family-Friendly Touch: They were so kind to our little one; Fatos even treated them to some jelly, which made our child's evening!"

"Our room had ocean view. The hotel is family friendly "
