"This hotel worked for us in that it was roughly halfway on our journey to the south of France.
The staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in. The hotel itself is quite tired and needs some modernisation.
Restaurant was not open the evening we were there but the Local town of Avallon had plenty of pleasant restaurants available.

Breakfast also excellent and service was superb. Only disappointment was car parking - from the description we had assumed parking was on site and secure not across the road on the open verge.
