"Pros: The room was huge and well equipped with everything you needed provided The building is stunning and has ample parking even for large cars. I personally would have liked a door on the bathroom but with the privacy glass and the toilet behind the wall it worked. The staff we spoke to were polite but there werent many of them around. The italian restaurant on site is very good and reasonably priced The location is pretty and quiet Cons: No room service The breakfast though varied was not good quality - the croissants were old and several items flavourless Overall, its marked as a 5 star hotel - it has the building and rooms to be so but doesnt provide a 5 star experience"

"First of all, the front desk staff is really quite outstanding. The hotel is located in a really ideal spot. The breakfast was good. The rooms are quite small and don't provide much room for much luggage, but the beds are comfortable enough and there were plenty of pillows and towels provided, Our only real complaint is GETTING there! We drove, and it is extremely challenging to get to Hotel Anacapri, then there is no parking once you get there. You cannot really use your GPS because it does not seem to understand how to get there due to roads that are closed from time to time or only open to pedestrians. The hotel knows this, so they will send you their own directions. The problem with those directions is that they are really equally unhelpful. For example, they are written as though you are coming from one particular direction, but we were coming from the opposite direction so their instructions were useless for us. They are also written as though you can easily see street names, which are often hidden or non-existent from the road in Granada. In the end, we put a pin in the location and used trial and error to navigate around pedestrian and one-way roads until we finally stumbled upon the hotel. It was VERY frustrating. Parking is a few blocks away -- but the front desk staff will help you find it and send you there after you have unloaded your car and put your bags in your room. They know you don't want to walk down the street with your bags."

"We stayed in a spacious family room for 9 nights. It was nice to have space for 4 people. The room was cleaned daily and was spotless. The maids do an excellent job. The hotel has a traditional Spanish feel to it which we liked. Lots of statues and a grand staircase next to reception. It’s light and spacious with lots of places to sit and watch the world go by. Breakfast was perfect. Lots of free tables and it was never crowded. Lots of options for cold and warm food. Everything replenished in good time so you don’t have to wait for anything. Several juices and coffee are offered as well as various types of milk inc lactose free and milkshakes. You can eat inside the restaurant or outside on a small terrace which was nice. A nice pool that is big enough to cool down in. Sun beds and recliner deck chairs around the pool. There are meals available for lunch at the poolside. Food and drink was fairly priced. The staff throughout the hotel are friendly and helpful. They work hard but always have time to be pleasant to the guests. The location is excellent. A shop and bar within a few hundred metres and the edge of Centro only a pleasant 10 minute walk. The city is buzzing both in the day and of an evening. The Alhambra is a 15-20 minute walk. Allow yourself a bit of extra time as it’s an uphill walk. If walking isn’t your thing, taxis are fairly priced and there is a small bus up to the Alhambra which is well worth a visit. Overall it was a fantastic experience."

"The property is gorgeous. Very clean, and an interesting mix between the historic look of the Alhambra and the modern look of the hotel itself. The grounds surrounding the hotel are beautiful and make for a romantic stroll late at night. My wife isn’t that sappy but there was a moment when we entered a courtyard at night and the lighting was just perfect and she leaned over and said “you gotta give me a kiss” :) The staff is friendly and helpful, but I must warn that they are incredibly busy and have a lot of responsibilities. For example the same person who checked us in was also the valet, the porter, and the concierge. That means if it’s busy you’re going to have to wait your turn. Be understanding to the staff, they are good people! The rooms are comfortable and are charming. For example our bed had four posts and some netting which gave it a bit of an exotic vibe. The wooden shutters were a nice touch, and we had a great view of a garden courtyard down below. The bathroom was very spacious with a modern shower, toilet, and bidet and a huge sink. The bathroom would meet most western expectations. The hotel restaurant is convenient, and the outdoor seating are has a fantastic view of the valley below. Wait staff are busy so again be considerate and patient. One important note - if you’re not in decent shape you’re going to struggle getting down to the city and then back up to the hotel. It’s a half mile climb up the hill. Taxis/Ubers can be expensive!"

"It was exactly what we booked. Rustic, Rural, quiet......Amazing views, very safe, really helpful and attentive staff. The pool was incredible, with views over the mountains, and a lovely breeze. The small village of Benecid and the larger village of Fondon have a few restaurants/bars offering great quality tapas (not tourist food). Great experience.....we will be back one autumn to take advantage of the mountain walks, August was too hot to attempt 27km of mountain trails."
