"Spacious rooms, beautiful new pool, breakfast okay. Check out at 11am. Characterful building.
No air con in rooms, fans were unavailable from reception. Lovely attentive staff but need more staff on site. Dining area needs updating.
Overall good value for money. Hotel has huge potential to become 5* with investment."
"Access to this hotel is via the sister hotel up the road. This is where reception and breakfast are located.
The young man on duty spoke good French but was completely unhelpful and without a grasp of customer service - when I explained the dangerous condition of the lift, he tried to defend it!
The lift is only big enough for 1 person plus a bag but when I tried to reverse out of the lift,my foot was caught on the 8cm lip of the lift shaft and I fell over backwards, hitting my head, back and cutting my elbow. This situation is not helped by the absence of lighting on the first floor- the light switch is across the corridor and can't be seen or accessed from the lift.
The receptionist on Sunday morning was more receptive to the idea that this was a dangerous condition and understood why there was blood on the sheets.
The room was adequate with an acceptable shower and bed.
Breakfast was adequate. "
"The evening meal was superb. Breakfast was frugal; we had to ask for croissants since none were left after other diners had taken 2 each whereupon the owner brought my wife and I a croissant each on a tray."
"The twin bed was comfortable. The bathroom was updated and clean. The room carpets dirty with crumbs. The young woman who checked us in was lovely. The woman who checked us out was not friendly, not busy and still unfriendly. We seemed to be the only guests at hotel but they put us in a room with zero views of anything but a grey wall. "
