La Haye-de-Calleville Holiday Rentals

"Diabolical!! Expedia take this hotel off your list! Looked abandoned it was so unkempt. Manager extremely rude and aggressive. Reception should have been open 1700 to 2300H. He arrived 1730H the first night and 1745H the second. Our code for the front door did not work so we could not access our room. When he arrived eventually he called us liars!!! We put our number in and proved to him it did not work. He then slammed the door shut causing small parts of the ceiling to fall on my wife cutting her arm and trapping her on one side and me on the other! I shouted back to be let in. He prevented my wife from opening the door! She was very frightened. He continued to shout and then said he was calling the police! We decided to pack up and leave as he is intolerable!!! Added to that only one loo worked and it was past reception and down another corridor. There was only 1 meal and a few cans in the vending machine. The microwave was cleaner once I used it than when we arrived. There was no where to sit outside. We were on our own in the building overnight with no instructions on emergencies. We could not get the Manager on the phone. We have used this hotel for many years (approx 30) but NEVER again🙁🙁"

"Chaînes télé limitées, surface des chambres juste ce qu’il faut, pas la place pour mettre les sacs, salle de bain et toilette ensemble, pas possible d’être malade et de vouloir être propre ! On nous demande si on veut que la chambre soit faite pour 2 jours ? Sinon personnel agréable, réactif lorsqu’il manque quelque chose au petit dej, a réussi à me trouver une autre chambre à un autre étage, petit coin bar agréable. On ne peut pas demander la lune pour 79€ la nuit "

"Heating was important on this trip as I was on my motorcycle and as ever it worked well. Reception staff lovely as ever. Only gripe was I was leaving at 7am and breakfast was not available and nobody was on reception so I had to leave my room key by the door. Overall excellent value for money"

"check in good person helpful key card didnt work when arrived at room further faffing to get it sorted another room allocated that key card not 100% either it was flashing orange and didnt alliw reaccess so had to b opened from inside everytime 🙄☹️"
