"The room was very small, no room for luggage. The bed basically took up the entire room. The bathroom also was tight. Hardly enough room to sit on the toilet. The shower knob was broken, but could be made to function. The owner was kind and he let us into our room early, which was nice because we were jet lagged from our flight."

"I was very satisfied with the hostel, the room was clean, bright, and spacious. The view from the window was also great. The owner was a very cheerful and kind person. I went to "Santuario de San Pedro de Alcantara", and the scenery was wonderful on the gentle 2.7km riverside road from the hostel to there, the birds singing and the babbling brook were soothing, and I was impressed by the scent of flowers when I breathed in. It was a very nice place."

"El alojamiento es un encanto ambientado interiormente en el SXVIII. El exterior más de lo mismo. Sin embargo, el bar restaurante con terracita no lo vimos abierto en ningún momento, parecía estar abandonado. Al estar ubicado en pleno centro, se oía jaleo por las calles hasta altas horas. "We had a warm welcome from the owner, and the apartment we stayed in was a good size, with a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The apartment is above a garage (separate to the rest of the hostel) and below the owners living area. The kitchen was mostly well equipped, with a microwave, oven, hob, filter coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine, plenty of crockery and pans. "The hotel was perfect for a quiet stay in winter in Sierra de Gredos. The room was more than I expected for the price and I love the beautiful, antique style of the hotel and the amazing views. My one *small* concern is that I had to depart at 9:30- reception and breakfast were supposed to start at 9, and there was seemingly nobody at the hotel. I left my key by the front desk, but a coffee before I left would have been nice! "

"Excellent location if you like hiking - the mountains and countryside were on the doorstep. Run by an enthusiastic and very genial ornithologist. Slight miscommunication on check in that cost us an extra €20 which was unforeseen and a little annoying but we were happy to pay it. Service from staff was exceptional and the food served in the bar was delicious. TV didn’t work in the bedroom and a fan would have been welcome as it was hot when we stayed. "
