"Generally okay for backpackers or budget travelers, as long as you don’t have a bug phobia. The rooms were relatively clean, although the white towels were stained. The AC worked really well. The beach and the beach bar were really nice and the suset view was amazing! We stayed for one night and had five rooms — all of them had huge (I mean 4+ cm) cockroaches, spiders, or both. There wasn’t any proper bug spray available at the time. Would I stay here again? I could, depending on my budget...

The resort is literally right off the main drag in town, yet tucked away so that the loud sounds of nightlife and traffic could not be heard. The grounds were peaceful and the food was excellent at a very good price. I highly recommend the Parrot!"
