I'm the heat of the historic district it was easy to navigate the local attractions, find a taxi and we had dining options. The rooms were eclectic, had warm water most of the time and the breakfast was ok. Some outside noise filtered in unless bathroom door shut, no elevators (if needed) or free daily water.
Excellent for exploring and downtime while acclima
From the friendly greeting we received at our early morning arrival to help with needs/questions throughout our stay we found the staff were friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to Karen. The little welcome basket of treats with our nations flag a very sweet touch Breakfast was simple, but the eggs cooked to order a nice touch. Our room -the executive- was HUGE. What a great place to relax while acclimating to the altitude. And the location was extremely convenient for exploring all parts of the city. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here or recommend to a anyone.
Je parcoure l amerique du sud de l'antarctique a Rio depuis un mois. Quelle plaisir de dormir dans cet hotel, tres joli avec un personnel entièrement dédié au client. Un des meilleur durant mon périple.
This was a very frustrating stay. I paid more than my normal
budget because I needed some rest and a nice shower. The hot water didn’t work...at all. I asked the front desk to change rooms, but they said there isn’t hot water anywhere in the property. My friends stayed in a nice hostel for $35, and they had hot water and a nice bed. This place is too expensive for what you get.
A very good boutique hotel in the centre of almost everywhere. All the major attractions of the city can be reached on foot from there. The receptionist is very helpful and provide me a lot of information about the attractions.
Great location near the historical city center. Staff is excellent and friendly. However, it is on a busy street and the windows are old and thin -- you can can hear everything gone on in the street -- the club music, the cars honking, the people yelling. The showers could also be improved....they leak everywhere.

Recomendable
Todo bien, muy buena atención en recepción y en el restaurant
The hotel is really very beautiful, with ancient beautiful furniture, very beautiful wooden floors. Rooms are very clean and warmed up (in these temperature is very important and not always available). But the pearl is Esteban, a young man at the reception who was really kind and gave us much help in organizing us. also worth of notice is that the hotel accepted us with early check in when we arrived very tired from a night travel at 6 am
Very cute small place. It has its own unique charm - located in the old building, where they tried to keep it unique and original unlike all those "copy-paste" modern chains. If you enjoy staying in boutique hotels, you will certainly enjoy Casa de Piedra.
