You can start your visit at the castle of Vilaseca, an ancient, neomedieval-style fortress from the period of the Christian repopulation. Although the castle enjoyed its greatest splendour from the 12th century onwards, some historians claim the oldest building of the fortress, the tower of Olzina, dates from the Roman period.
You mustn't miss the parish church of Sant Esteve, with more than 800 years of history. Its bell tower is certainly impressive and stands out above the rest of the buildings in the area. Other must-see sights are the portal of San Antonio, a portal with a 16th century tower, or the Santuari de la Mare de Déu de La Pineda, a temple dating back to the 13th century dedicated to the worship of the Virgin of La Pineda.
