"This place was fantastic. It’s right on the beach and the staff are super friendly. La Mata is a great mellow town to make your home base with great restaurants and a couple markets right down the boardwalk. "The hotel is beautiful. A lovely boutique feel with lots of greenery and fairy lights creating the perfect ambiance. The facilities are modern and clean and the pool and pool area is lovely. The hotel was not too busy so you could easily get beds around the pool without having to think about it. There were a lot of weddings taking place during the stay which felt as though as a guest of the hotel you were encroaching on someone’s special day which felt a little strange. There was no entertainment during the evening and there isn’t much available outside of the hotel so it could feel a little quiet depending on what kind of break you are looking for."
