I changed my reservation to this place because of their website stating wifi in all 36 rooms....not true! Because of their location, wifi is intermittent at best. My books, music, and communication were dependent on internet and did not appreciate the misinformation.
I was placed in a windowless room, they said because of my physical limitations, then in a 3rd floor standard room rather than in the seaview room i reserved and on the lower level. I had to spend the night in a room without a working tv, loud ac, no mini bar,, a sliver of a seaview. You could not hear the waves because of the ac. After complaining the next day i was moved to a lower level seaview room, with a working 19" tv with 6 french speaking channels only, not the premium channels advertised. Again wifi was intermittent.
Breakfast ended at 10 and dinner started at 8...thats a long time to be disappointed. It was a buffett, with a salad selection of sort and choices of fish and "meat". Now I thought the "meat" was beef but was never labeled as such, and tough and inedible, except for 1 evening it was simmered in a gravy and was tender. When I think back on other trips to Africa I remembered they caught various animals in the woods and sold it on the road. I remember thinking of it as roadkill and wonder if that was what we were served.
Most of the clientele comes from France, so English is not spoken and without wifi you can't even use google translate. Not relaxing!
