"Friendly staff. Exceptionally clean, modern hotel. Close to airport and appreciated the shuttle. Not walking distance to anything other than mall next door. Unfortunately didnt have a chance to have a swim in tbe pool. Thank you, the hotel suited our brief stay in Alajuela perfectly."

"This hotel gives the feel of being inside the jungle but only 10 min drive from La Fortuna city. We saw toucans, lizards and could hear howler monkeys right outside our rooms. If you don’t have a car, uber is extremely affordable and convenient. Get the breakfast buffet add on, the food is delicious and changes daily. Fruit loops and pancakes for the kids and traditional Costa Rican food for the adults. Staff are extremely friendly and helped me book all my transport and tours through WhatsApp ahead of my stay. Rooms are very comfortable with aircon. I would recommend this for animal lovers who still want the luxuries of a modern hotel."

"Lovely grounds and friendly staff. The property was so lush that it felt like we were on a movie set (such as the White Lotus series). The restaurant was excellent, the rooms were quiet and well appointed,and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was a missing screen on one of the sliding doors in our room, but overall a very enjoyable and peaceful stay and we would come again if in the area! "

"If you are staying in fortuna… stay here!!!! The staff, the facility, the rooms, the food all are five star!!! The owner was on site and absolutely the most gracious man ever! The in room spa services with chocolate and coffee scrub was a piece of heaven. My first solo trip to Costa Rica and I will absolutely stay here again. Close to the activities and a quick Uber ride to town. All an amazing experience I was planning on one night and I stayed four. I would never leave this oasis.. no kids lots of birds and flora.. decorated beautifully and thoughtfully. The staff was top notch!!! Attentive and fluent in English. Just a wonderful place!!!"

"We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during high season. We booked it because of the great reviews and the location. The positive - the grounds are lovely, the people working the front desk are pleasant and friendly, the bar out front has happy hour and a great bartender. We enjoyed food and happy hour there several nights. We had a deluxe room king size bed. There was plenty of space, it had a kitchenette and they provided coffee to make coffee in the morning. Coffee was also available at the front reception (bring your own mug or stay there to drink) ran out of take away cup The bad - the bed is hard as a rock and the hotel lacks enough towels to provide clean towels or replace what we started with day 1. After the first day my washcloths were removed - never replaced. When I asked the 1st time I was told they did not have any more. Hand towels never replaced. On day three none of the towels were replaced and the one that was dirty on the floor was put on the counter in a pile. At this point I had to take all my towels to the front myself to get new ones and I was told they were short on towels because it is high season. I suggest the hotel buy more of each type of towel so they can provide at least a washcloth, hand towel and body towel daily. Ideally 2 body towels. They could also put up a sign saying if you don’t mind reusing towels to leave them hanging. Only one body towel is allowed per person unless you take the dirty ones to the front to get new ones. "

"Staff was very nice and accommodating. I like that the receptionist / property manager gentleman would walk up to cars to make sure there they were actual guests and there for reason. (He walked up to us parking a few times, especially at night and I appreciated that) The property is beautiful, the bungalow was clean and pretty cool. Pool was great and the AC was pumpin! The property is Close enough to everything yet tucked away from the main road traffic. I would absolutely recommend Jungalo, You won’t be disappointed!! "
