Wonderful short stay for our family of four. We had the Family Room and it was large by European standards. The family who own and operate the hotel were friendly and always willing to help. The playground area was a wonderful surprise too. Very pleased!

War schon das zweite mal da. Das erste mal mit Frau und Hund zum Wandern in der schönen näheren Umgebung dort (Viele schöne Wanderwege). Das war letztes Jahr im September. Der zweite Aufenthalt war vergangenes Wochenende im Rahmen einer Motorradtour mit Freunden.

Liebevolles Hotel in sehr ländlicher Lage. Das Zimmer war etwas klein, aber immerhin mit Mückengitter. Der Service aber sehr gut. Und: Essen kann man dort auch vorzüglich.

Country life near Berg Eltz

We couldn't have been happier and recommend the friendly family run to everyone who loves being in the countryside. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast both days we stayed and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We were close to areas we enjoyed visiting like Berg Eltz castle and small villages along the Mozel River. Our host and hostess gave us information and maps and were very kind and friendly.

Everything about this hotel is good. The rooms had good size, the staff (owner) very cordial, meals were good, too. Very accommodating and we would stay here again if ever visiting Germany

Lovely, family run hotel.

We stayed for 7 nights in this friendly, family run hotel in the quiet village of Lahr. This is a beautiful area with the Mosel and Rhine within easy driving distance. Car is essential. Very friendly staff and owners who mostly speak at least some English. Great continental breakfasts and excellent traditional evening German evening meals. Nothing is too much trouble and we would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing break in this beautiful part of Germany.

Man blev glatt överraskad när man kom till hotellet som låg i ett mycket charmigt område. I hotellrummet hade de tänkt på allt, det saknades ingenting. Allt var mycket välskött, såväl inomhus som utomhus. Personalen servade till max

Conforto e tranquilidade.

Ótimo hotel. Quartos bem amplos e confortáveis, possui uma área externa muito agradável e tranquila. Os funcionários são bem solícitos e simpáticos, até os mínimos detalhes são bem cuidados. O café da manha é excelente, possuí uma grande variedades de pães e frios. Além de geleias caseiras preparadas com frutas orgânicas. Realizamos uma refeição durante a noite também, os pratos são dignos de restaurantes renomados, muito saborosos.

Good Value in a Rural Location

This hotel is very comfortable and the owners are very friendly. It is exactly what we expected - providing a bit of old world charm. It is in a small village called Lahr, NOT the city withe same name. It is only about 10 minutes from the picturesque Mosel Valley, and 30 minutes from the Rhine. A convenient location to Koblenz, Trier and wine tastings. The owners have a garden and use what they grow in their restaurant. We arrived at the height of asparagus season and it was deliciously prepared by our host. Dinner offerings are traditional German fare and are quite delicious. Breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of meats, cheeses and even scrambled eggs cooked to order!

Goed hotel in zeer rustige omgeving

Prima hotel, schone kamer en badkamer Ontbijt is goed verzorgt, en ook het diner is prima Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam Helaas staat dit hotel in een omgeving waar behalve fietsen en wandelen niet veel valt te beleven.

Hübsches Hotel aber etwas abgelegen

Alle Räume sehr schön eingerichtet und geräumig. Jedoch entspricht das Bad/WC nicht einem 3-Sterne Hotel da sehr klein. Der Abstand der Kloschüssel zur Wand und direkt zum Waschwecken war sehr klein. Zwei Personen konnten das Bad nicht gleichzeitig betreten. Zur Abrechnung von Getränken: Uns wurde der Wein- Dornfelder Mosel trocken 0,2 ltr- Glas mit 6,70 € abgerechnet. Der gleiche Wein ist lt. Getränkekarte vorm und im Hotel mit 3,30 € pro 0,2 Ltr angegeben. Dementsprechend ist uns der Wein um 103% überteuert in Rechnung gestellt worden. Wir haben insgesamt 6 Gläser getrunken. Eine Flasche 0,75 Ltr. desgleichen Weines wurde uns mit 23,- € in Rechnung gestellt, was wir ebenso zu teuer fanden. Leider haben wir dies erst anhand der gesamten Abrechnung zu Hause festgestellt.

Fantastisk ophold

Det var nok det reneste hotel vi har været på indtil nu. Servicen fra personalet var helt i top - værelset dejligt og fede senge - vi sov som en sten. Helt sikkert et sted vi vil tilbage til.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt, bereits herzliche Begrüßung beim Empfang und durch die gesamte Hotelfamilie. Ausstattung nicht die Neueste, jedoch sehr gepflegt und sauber. Umgebungs- und Freizeitratgeber auf dem Zimmer. Schönes Frühstücksbuffet. Gutes Essen. Sehr empfehlenswert bei Suche nach ruhiger Lage und guter Wandermöglichkeit bei sehr gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Herlig familiehotell på landet

Det lå i en liten landsby i nærheten av Moseldalen. Var et familiehotell med mye krimskrams… Men gode senger og ungene snakker enda om de gode hodeputene der :-) God frokost og service!

Fantastic service

Very relaxing. A hotel " in the middle of nowhere " ie a quaint little village but excellent service, friendly helpful staff, and comfortable room. Bathroom is larger than average for Germany. We were able to drive to the castles of the Rhine and Mosel easily. I would recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Fantastic service and warm welcome.

Dejligt roligt sted, meget venligt værtspar, god mad til meget rimelig pris, fint værelse med balkon. Fin afstand til såvel Mosel som Rhinen.

Nice hotel near Hahn airport

We searched for a not expensive hotel that is in the area of Hahn airport. We arrived quite late, which was after the closing time of reception, but they kindly waited for us to arrive. Also there was not kitchen open, and no open restaurants in the area (that we were quite surprised of) but the receptionist kindly made us some sandwich supplies. We very very happy for this flexibility. Also the hotell was clean and the service very kind.

Family run inn in a small village - very clean

A family run inn in a very small farming village about 12km north of Treis Karden- appeared to be recently built or renovated as the rooms and bathroom were modern and very clean. The breakfast in the morning was very nice - scrambled eggs, toast, fruit, assorted cheeses and juice. We were also very happy that the free wireless internet signal was very strong. The only downside is check-out time is 10am and is firmly enforced.
