"I had a great stay at the Sequoia Lodge in Kernville. The rooms are definitely older and a bit outdated, but they were very clean, which made all the difference. The property was quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing after a long day. What really stood out was the staff — friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. If you’re looking for a simple, clean, and comfortable place with great service, Sequoia Lodge is a solid choice."
"Place does NOT look the way the pictures do! Can NOT use the stove that’s shown in the pictures they have posted. Also the people that live on sight should be more respectful to the people that are in the rooms they are outside there door late at night talking loud. The rooms smell like they haven’t been deeply clean. You can smell the dust. Mosquitoes in the room and bathroom bad! My husband was killing them
The whole time we was there. Never will we return. Feels like tweakerville "
"No, the pancakes were still out at 330 pm when we checked in, the hot tub was half full and gross looking, there was cigarette butts all over the railings and ground, staff was hard to get a hold off. My room ended up having a broken faucet on the tub and floooded the floor. They had to shut water off to the room and we had to leave and get another hotel. We are having trouble getting a refund because they don’t answer their phones. Horrible place. Will never use again. This place should just shut down."
"It was pretty much as advertised...no TVs in the RV (kind of nice actually)...the RV oven/stove didn't work, had to have the staff come by to light it. Wouldn't stay lit after we turned it off so we couldn't cook. Boo. The onsite bathroom that we were recommended by staff to use was not stocked with any supplies. The woman had to take their own toilet paper with them and the men's room had no soap. Also we couldn't even lock our trailer from the inside. Overall, not the worst experience but I don't think I would stay again."
"The cottage was adorable! Check in was super easy! Everything was clean and exactly as advertised! 10/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone staying on the Kern River/near Lake Isabella!"
