"Absolutely MAJESTIC!!! We stayed in a 1 bedroom Villa and that itself was a vacation. The view was absolutely stunning. Waking up and having coffee on the huge balcony was like out of a dream. The service was phenomenal, the communication was phenomenal and might I say this price was phenomenal! My wife and I highly recommend!"

"Wow is the first word that came to mind when we walked through the front door. What an amazing place - so cosy, large, clean, immaculate, superb decor, friendly owner who responds to communication super quick, great location for an "on the way home" stop to recharge the batteries, huge bedroom, delicious and ample choices for the free breakfast, cosy seating in the main lounge, large kitchen with all you need, beautiful bathroom with huge bath and corner walk-in shower. I can't say enough - but for sure, we will be back if we ever need to stop in between home and Auckland. Did not get a chance to use the spa (arrived late) but another luxury at this beautiful place. I almost didn't want to write this - hate to have it seen by too many people who might then book this place out when we need it again! Thank you Robert - this accommodation is a credit to you. Thank you and so amazing! A treasure we will never forget."

"The managers Aaron and Danny are amazing, professional, yet very friendly. They made sure all our needs were met but allowing us the privacy to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Te Karaka lodge surroundings. Our meals, prepared by the master chef, Franz were as good as we have experienced in any restaurant . Only the finest ingredients selected by him. Presented beautifully with attention to detail and creating wonderfully unique taste combinations. We cannot recommend Te Karaka Lodge highly enough for that special get away in the country. We will be back."

"This is an old pub, the owners are fixing up rooms and renting them. They were friendly, but this is not a regular hotel. We were there on New Years Eve, and there was a DJ and loud party until well into the new year. Room was small, with no shower. We had a toilet, but had to go out into hallway to get to a shared shower. "
