"This place was horrible, as soon as you entered the building it stunk like sewer gas. The room was dirty and had dusty cobwebs hanging from fire sprinklers. The air conditioner was dusty and moldy inside and gave us all sinus infections. The shower barely drained and the shower head barely had any pressure. The TV remote didn’t work and when it did the cable was out half the time. The lady that did breakfast was very friendly but the breakfast was very cheap and poor quality. It was a horrible stay and will never go back."
"When we arrived we had to move rooms twice because the rooms were dirty. The third room we moved to was not completely clean. The shower faucet cover was not screwed down and spun everytime you turned it on. The couch bed was very uncomfortable and we don’t think it had clean sheets. Was also missing the comforter for it and had to get from front desk. When they came to do a refresher on the room they did not vacuum and we had to borrow the vacuum to do it ourselves. The breakfast was poor as well. The scrambled eggs were sitting in about an inch of water and the breakfast potatoes were half cooked. When we asked housecleaning for extra supplies for the room the seemed very put out. The hallway had no A/C so you sweat every time going downstairs and the room temperature was very inconsistent. It was definitely not worth what we paid."
"In this 3rd week of May I have stayed in a different hotel each night ans I’ve made my meandering way an ross the country. Each night brought me different hotel brand and flag. The Courtyard by Marriott in Tyler was been my favorite stay. Most moderately priced chains hotels seem to be squeezed from the same tube of blandness. The Tyler Courtyard was very different. Style and thought went into the set-up this Courtyard. From the way the entry greeted you to the way my room was laid out was just….above average. I’m not saying everything was perfect. Free Internet should not come with forms to fill out. And a high charge for coffee made by desk attendants in their spare time do not live up to the high standard Marriott tries to set. But those things speak to corporate shortsightedness, not the comfort and ease you find at this very good example of Courtyard by Marriott."
"Breakfast menu was great. Room was clean, but the window seal had cracks in the plaster surrounding the window. Spoke to manager on duty. She said she would let housekeeping know. I took pictures because I didn’t want to get blamed and charged for damages . When I checked out the new manager on duty did not have the previous report I discussed"
