"We love this place. Cozy/Homey/Better than any average motel, especially if you can book a spacious room with a kitchen! Beds are soft and comfy. Nice location in a neighborhood, across from pretty homes, and very close to downtown GV. Easy check-in and Keurig coffee inside the lobby. Non-stop traffic going by is noisy, but only bothersome while sitting outside. The shady lawn area is great for kicking back, but could use some TLC. Housekeepers/handymen could be little more diligent about cleaning grime from window sills and baseboards, restocking empty supplies in the bathroom, repairs, etc. But overall, it's still our favorite option for staying in GV."
"I am 75 and have traveled far and wide and can think of no finer Inn that I have stayed in. We had a large room with a large enough balcony for a table with 4 chairs.
the variety of buildings are two stories and there are no elevators so be advised.
Lovely breakfast included, not the the standard Holiday Inn buffet but a real continental breakfast along with made to order omelets. Sorry that we couldn't stay an extra day. In downtown Grass Valley. Walk to everything."
"The parking was a bit of a problem because of the number of large vehicles in the lot. Not something they can control now, but it would have been nice if that had been planned for when the motel was built. Otherwise it was a very nice stay. The room was clean and mostly quiet. The shower took a while to warm up, but did get to the lava hot I prefer. I’ll definitely give bonus points for the very soft and new looking towels. Overall we will stay here again."
"All facilities were super clean. Included breakfast was fantastic (coffee, hashbrowns, sausage, yogurt granola, toast, and eggs made to order by staff). Wifi was weak in unit, but somewhat functional. AC/Heat worked well. Overall spacious and clean. beautiful views of trees. Would come back"

If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, a holiday rental can offer a sense of seclusion away from public hotel lifts and busy concierge desks while still allowing you to travel.
