"Expensive for what they have to offer. It has limited parking spaces and the breakfast menu was limited to a couple of items for a charge. Staff was friendly and aware of its limitations. Bare in mind that you are mostly paying for location."
"Nice place on the Yellowstone River. Nothing extravagant, think useful. Gardiner is a fun town. Everything is walking distance. Well kept, 1970s era structure."
"The room was extremely small and smelled of mildew. There wasn’t a hair dryer which left me with wet hair when it was 32 degrees outside.
The restaurant food was good for dinner. They definitely need to hire more severs as it was slammed for dinner and there was only one server who had to serve everyone-this was definitely a management issue-she did her very best."
Ridgeline Hotel at Yellowstone, an Ascend Collection Hotel
6/10 Okay
"My 2 adult children and I stayed at the Ridgeline Hotel for 4 nights while visiting Yellowstone. The location is excellent - one mile from the North Entrance. Our room was overlooking the Yellowstone River and into the park - amazing view! The room itself was fine - had a bigger than usual mini fridge and a microwave. Our main complaint was the shower, which was very powerful but unfortunately the showerhead was low and hit you in such a way as to spray all over the very small bathroom (toilet and shower, single sink outside the bathroom.) We couldn't seem to avoid soaking the bathroom floor when we showered. We enjoyed the outdoor lobby - with gas firepit, wind protection and comfy chairs. There was free coffee basically all day plus assorted teas & hot cocoa. The indoor pool was nice, plus the outdoor hot tub. We didn't use it, but there was a game room which could be a plus for travelers with kids. No breakfast included , and the restaurant looked pretty pricey and did not offer many non-red meat options, so we did not eat there. Front desk staff were nice, but the one I spoke to did not have a lot of knowledge about Yellowstone or dining options in Gardiner. Would stay here again, but also would check out the other options."
