"My stay was great my only concerns are the fact that they have only on ice machine for the entire hotel and it was broken. The front desk person suggested I go to one of the near by gas stations and get ice. I also did not appreciate the fighting among the house keepers they were arguing in front guests and they also use very profane language and this seemed to be the norm for this location. I’m assuming because no one interrupted or try to intervene to minimize the exposure of this type of behavior to the guest at one point I was attempting to check out and two of the staff members were arguing and interrupting the person that was attempting to check me out by trying to get her to resolve their issue"

"This is an excellent location for visiting area battlefields and other sites. We even drove to Kings Dominion on a weekday from here with no issues. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The AC was spectacular. The bathroom was a little dated, but fine for our needs. The breakfast is the star of the show. Lots of choices and I was even able to eat hard boiled eggs and fruit as a celiac. All my encounters with staff were very nice. This is an ideal location for Door Dash. I would 10/10 stay here again."

"The stay was relaxing, comfortable, homely in the best way..we loved the heated pool & games offered & the arcade took me back..ha ha we played super marios bros original first game & loved it.. the first night we went out swimming & Missunn came out to introduce herself calling me by name (Mlelissa) & remembered our talked prior to me coming. via personal texts🙂 & to top it off we came in from swimming & was welcomed by the smell of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies hot out the oven from Missunn. David was our greater& host he gave us a run down &some neat history & it just felt like u knew him already.. just a great couple & the fellow guests were all so friendly inviting & just chill like we were planning on doing. Thank you both again it was the best experience & our first time staying in a b& b.. you guys rock we will.come again sometime & will recommend you guys"

"Room needed minor maintenance repair immediately - shades could not be lowered. Bathroom sink had a foul smell (p-trap needed cleaning) - I held my breath each time when using the sink. I attempted to use the indoor pool, but the water was much too cold. Elevator buttons were pushed out of their setting and into the wall on the second floor so that when checking out, I could not access the elevator and had to carry all of my luggage down the stairs. Staff should have been at the elevator assisting people with luggage knowing (and they did state that they knew when I reported the issue) the problem. After a pleasant stay of 6 days, I left angry due to elevator issues."
