Its not as it looks like on photos. The room was very antiquated and almost unkept with insects crawling here and there. Staff were extremely nice.

Very warm welcome and nice staff. Beautiful hotel area with magnificent houses. Good clearing.
Good breakfast with what you need.
Very nice resort with rustic charm to it. The staff is so humble and always smiling! Loved the Paloh restaurant within the resort. The musical evening on mondays add a luxurious feel to it..
Lovely character hotel. Great location, 5 minute Grab to the beach/restaurants. Breakfast was lovely, as was dinner. Beautiful grounds, restaurant/bar. Staff accommodating and friendly.
Enjoyed my stay at TT. From checkin to checkout the staff were really helpful. My room was big and all the facilities were well
Maintained remembering its an old colonial property.
Amazing 5 star experience at Temple Tree. The staff were absolutely incredible. The food an drinks were to die for and they treated my kids so well they didn’t want to leave. We would absolutely recommend this place and will return in the future.
We stayed at Temple Tree for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon and couldn’t have had a more amazing stay. We were greeted with a drink and cookie upon check-in, then upgraded to a four-bedroom villa with a private pool which was incredible and so appreciated. We loved the history of the houses which were so unique but still beautifully decorated with everything you could need. We were even provided with insect repellent.
The hotel grounds are beautiful, as is the setting. Only a few minutes’ drive to the main beach but it felt like a sanctuary in the middle of the jungle.
We had massages whilst there which were great and very reasonably priced. The food in the restaurant was also very good and all staff were lovely. They even sent us off with some fruit and pastries for breakfast on our day of departure as we had to leave for an early ferry.
The only thing we would change would be a slightly earlier start time for breakfast, but that’s probably more due to our jet lag than it being overly late (8am).
Thank you for a wonderful stay - we’ll be back!
Our favourite stop on our 3.5 week malaysia holiday. Has a very relaxed feel, immaculate gardens, long thin warm pool and the staff are excellent. Food was amazing so much so we ate there every night but one when we went to the night market. Hotel can deliver car to you for 100MR (£17) for 24 hours and arrange other trips. Cats are around if you dont like but are friendly - my son wanted to take one home! Did hear the prayer call about 5.30am which woke me up but to be expected on island. Also near airport so will be some plane noise but not very often.
This property is really one of its kind, nothing commercialised about it. My mom really enjoyed the scenery and how peaceful it is here, it’s great for a relaxing vacation to just take your mind off things back home. It is the definition of slow living here, and learning to appreciate and be in tune with the beautiful surroundings and unique heritage houses. Bonus point being that there are MANY estate cats here who are very friendly and happy to lounge with us in our room everyday. Loved it here, and will defo be back again.

The host Irene was amazing . She made my kids felt welcomed , even gave them Christmas gifts.
We loved the tranquility and the nature like feeling around the resort.
If there’s some improvement needed it will be the breakfast spread , it wasn’t the best and fresh options given . Also at night it was hard to sleep as the walls around was thin so we could hear noises as we slept .
The hotel has a big need for maintenance! Whether in the rooms or in the common areas, everything is a little shabby. We had a problem with the toilet (unuseable for two days). Fortunately, the hotel gave us the keys to another room and they credited us one night. That said, at the price of the night, it is not acceptable. The hotel is close to a busy road and the airport, there are also dogs that bark at night: you will need ear plugs to sleep!
The staff is friendly and helpful and, overall, the dishes and cocktails offered at the restaurant are good. The prices of dishes and cocktails are reasonable, especially with happy hour (buy 2 get one free) for cocktails
I won't go back there if I ever come back to Langkawi
We had a great stay at this beautiful resort. The setting is so very nice. The staff with Raymond & Ms K was very welcoming & friendly. We enjoyed the restaurant, the pool & appreciated the beautiful buildings.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Temple Tree Resort! Nice accommodations, good food and drinks, and relaxing stay with a Malaysian vibe away from the beach crowds!
Would go back in a heartbeat! - the historical houses imported and gently rebuilt and restored makes this resort a secret gem! Staff, food, wine and service is top quality and the commitment and effort to go above and beyond expectations has made our stay so memorable. Rooms are spacious, grounds, pool and area is clean, wellkept and location is quiet yet very central for touring Langkawi. Great place for families
We loved our stay. Loved the feel of the place and staff. Bulldozer noise was a bit annoying but not anyone's fault. Menu and bfast needed a few more veg options. We would defintely come again and recommend to others. :)
