"Arrived after dark, unable to gain acess to property. No security lighting, very limited parking and key broke in lock. On call seemed perturbed that we had called them out. After gaining access eventually found property had not been cleaned, no bedding , clearly untidy and very poor. Basically , inhabitable. Would not recommend this property."

"The property was clean and included everything you would need. The outside space was disappointing as it was just a table and chairs in a small concrete space rather than what is shown on the pictures depicting the outside space. The location made ot easy to score with a few shops, pubs and places near by."

"It was in a peaceful location, although a bit far for walking into town. But the facilities were spot on, though there is no oven to cook proper meals. For someone who needs a quiet, chilled out, restful timeout, it is the perfect place to stay."

"So clean I could roll around in the property, also very thoughtful of the host, even a fly squatter was available. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area."

"Ideally placed to have a stroll to the harbour with the convenience of secure parking within the gated community.
Within easy reach of pubs/restaurants (try the burgers at the Northe tavern 100 yards away) but a quiet area.
It's in a residential block, most of residents friendly but there are rules on no ball games or storing of fishing rods/beach equipment outside of apartment to keep area clear.
Designated space for car, big enough for my range rover, even though 1 neighbour came and checked...

"Very nice cottage in quiet location with room opening onto garden with lots of bird song. Snug with TV is very comfortable. Parking spot just outside cottage. Well appointed kitchen. Location is good for access to portland, but going elsewhere requires travelling through Weymouth which can be slow."

"Had a one night stay here in room 9 really lovely place, good sized room, comfy bed, good shower!
We didn’t eat here but the food smelled and looked delicious, we had a drink in the bar which was lovely.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing as it was just continental which I don’t normally mind but the croissant and other pastries were the packet ones which in my opinion are a real let down and also only white bread for toast which I wouldn’t normally eat.
I will definitely stay here again though as all the staff I encountered were lovely, very accommodating and extremely helpful."
"Excellent position right on the high street, newly refurbished room looking over the Main Street in Lyme. Great shower and ensuite, excellent white bed linen. Excellent breakfast with lovely friendly serving staff, and very good coffee. I have stayed before and often there is no one manning the bar and you have to delay to be served. For a pub hotel this is a great stay. Shame last time I stayed the swimming pool was out of action with a broken lock and again this time it was out of action."
"This is a nice older hotel within 5 minutes walk of the coastline. Great location. Staff were very friendly. Parking very convenient. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast room."
"We recently stayed in the Bull hotel and opted for a delux room. WE are so glad we did as the room was wonderful. very impressed, The stairs to the upper floors may be a challenge for the less mobile but I was told there a few rooms on the ground floor, one of which is deluxe.
The hotel is convenient for the main shopping area and has a vety useful parking area to the rear of the hotel.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly. A good breakfast and evening meal.
The outside seating looked good too.
A great place to stay in a lovely town."
"It was a last minute booking . Good value for the money. Breakfast was excellent freshly cooked. very attentive staff. Had the pizza in the evening beautifully cooked very fresh. Ideal hotel if you want to be close to the town. Has lift so easy for people who struggle with mobility issues."
"Very friendly and welcoming staff on arrival. Nice Reception area, but once you get beyond the reception the corridors and our room (203) were somewhat austere. Nice breakfast, but a wider selection of fresh fruit salad would be very welcome. The red berries were still frozen but the cooked breakfast was nice, plus a good choice of teas and coffee. Fabulous views over Chesil Beach from the restaurant, but the view from our room was compromised by the double glazing having condensation between the panes of glass (plus a net curtain for privacy). I would stay here again purely for the view and convenience of being where we needed to be (on Portland)"
"Lovely clean large room. Great tv with a superb picture. Plenty of tea / coffee and biscuits welcome tray. We were surprised how quiet our sleep was, the pub below was busy but no sound from it. The decoration of the whole venue is incredible with so much to look at. There is a lot of car spaces but the area is very busy so it’s a bit of a search to find one."
