Mother's day disappointment

The main reason we picked this hotel was because it was a 1/2 point between us and our oldest. We booked 3 rooms for 8 people. Our main reason for choosing this hotel was the indoor pool. While we were excited to spend time in the pool, it was short lived by the unsupervised & foul mouthed young teenagers. Our second reason for the stay was the prepaid 2 person breakfast per room. While the buffet breakfast was cold (home fries & french toast, and the butter was frozen) the ordered breakfast was much better. We will never stay at this facility again.

We tried to get checked in around 3pm and the attendant said am we could not because “most rooms still need to be cleaned “ but would not actually check if our room was ready. I called prior to this and someone had said the rooms would most likely be available at that time. Additionally people that arrived after us, he checked in. I think a little training on customer service and how to address all situations to accommodate the customer would be in order.

They have clearly invested in making this property more modern. You can feel it in the rooms with frosted glass shower doors vs curtains and a lounge couch in the corner vs that traditional creepy chair. The Mon-Sat breakfast menu is insane - no reason to go off premise which is rare for me - for example- they make their own hot sauce on prem - and its awesome. (Sunday is the same old buffet scrambled eggs and scary sausage patties) but IM sure the cook needs his/her day off. My only complaint is paper thin walls and ceilings. Baby woke us up in the morning so we moved rooms - couple came home at 1am and we could here every word. Lucky they were tired and went straight to sleep!! It wasnt a deal breaker but could have been bad given who your neighbour is.
