"I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The room itself was just okay—basic but functional. However, it didn’t feel very clean. "We have travelled across Spain and Portugal and this hotel and the town is an absolute gem. Fabulous recently renovated room with superb bed, crisp fresh linen and the best pillows. Superb shower and double basins. Kettle and coffee maker which was an unexpected bonus. Beautiful hotel and lovely garden terrace by the river for drinks outside. Highly recommended!!!"

"Nice place in historic town. Room was large, clean, and bed was comfortable. Town is walkable, I walked from the bus stop. The hotel has a restaurant and the breakfast is nice, they set up a taxi service and they were nice. I did use cash in town and for the taxi which was appreciated. Everyone was so nice even though I didn't speak Portuguese."

"Zamora Palacio del Duero is a large hotel situated near the river and convenient for the Old Town. The hotel has its own underground car park which is small and pretty tight, and I had to do quite a lot of manoeuvring to get my Audi Q5 in and out. Main public car parks weren’t obvious and, on a Sunday afternoon, every street and small parking area in the vicinity of the hotel was full. No doubt on other days parking might be easier. Check in was welcoming and our Premium room is spacious, very nicely furnished and comfortable. It also comes with a large and luxurious en-suite bathroom and a nice terrace. In short, it’s the sort of room that makes you wish you were here for more than one day. Breakfast here is top class with an excellent buffet selection of fresh fruits, cold meats and cheeses, tapas and innovative dips and spreads. And although the buffet includes scrambled eggs and bacon, you can also order freshly cooked eggs, bacon and sausage. Service throughout has also been excellent and this is a top class hotel in all respects."
