This place was the worse hotel we ever booked. The hotel was dirty, no AC, weed smell on the hallways, bad costumer service, they didn't have enough keys for the rooms and the keys will not open the room foor. Our room was dirty, thw bathroom was flooded with bunch of towels on the floor. We ended staying in the hotel across the street and of course we didn't get a refund. I definitely will not recommend this place at all. It happened to a lot of guests not only us.

The manager Roxanne at this property along with her assistant Albert were so unprofessional. They didn’t want to interact with any of the guests. It seemed that as soon as an issue arises they would tell the guests that they were calling the police and they were trespassing. They were telling guests that they only accept cash and after the transactions they refused to give out receipts. The rooms were filthy. There was trash from previous guests underneath the beds. The walls were covered in blood stains along with sheets and the mattress covers. The bathroom had no towels and there were none to be given when asked. The bathroom also had black mold all over the wall corners and the tub. The fire alarms were not installed, there was just wires hanging off where they should be. The main fire breaker was in trouble mode meaning none of the fire systems were in operating mode. This place was disgusting in every way along with the attitude of their staff. I do not recommend and I hope that other guests see this review and veer away from staying here.

Stay away from this place! The room was filthy. There was mold, rotting carpet, and blood-like stains. Sheets had large blotches on them. The hotel was surrounded by homeless people pushing shopping carts. The back door to the hotel was wide open. When I returned to the front desk 5 minutes after seeing the room, the staff would not return my money. Only offering to switch rooms. Had to walk away rather than stay there. There’s a better La Quinta right down the road. Run, don’t walk, to that one.

El hotel no tenia lo que describia en la reservacion como la alberca esta cerrada porque no estaba en funcion con el agua berdede, no WiFi, no control para la temperatura del mini split, no refigeracion en el edificio, muy sucio todo en general, muy poca iluminacion en el estacionamiento, la recamara le faltaban focos a las lamparas, etcétera, el hotel en general esta en muy mal estado, debería estar cerrado hasta que reparen todo y pueda estar en función

We were sent to a room that was already occupied buy people and it was on the second floor.We had all our luggage and there is no elevator. I had to go back down straits to talk to them and they were unorganized did not know what rooms they had available. No breakfast or pool plus the door to the gym was broken. The room was not great and the bathroom was gross. Will not stay here again.

After making a reservation with a credit card, they did not have a card reader and made us go to an ATM to get cash to pay for the room. They did not have change back and we had to wait 2 hours to get our change back. No maid service, no new towels, they always said they were in the dryer but did not deliver them. No hand soap, only shampoo.

They first put us in a room w/o A/C and w/o a TV. After going around looking for another room they offered me a refund. Since it was too late, I practically begged them to unlock a room that had the security door lock stuck. A staff member came and unlocked it. Two employees, tried their best, it's just the condition of the hotel that leaves a lot to be desired.

What I like about it was when you walk in to the lobby that was beautiful that was unique took me back to like one of the old hotel rooms from back in the day it was beautiful but what I didn't like was that I paid for a room that they before when I get there on my check in time the room was not ready they made me wait three more hours before the room even got cleaned and we can check into it they put us in the room where the carpets were stained and smelled like pet feces and the toilet didn't flush

When I arrived the front desk said she couldn’t take credit cards, only cash. It was lucky I had just enough, with about 5 dollars cash left over. Still no breakfast. No hot water in bathroom sink. Had to shave with cold water. I’ve been staying here for work over the last 15 years. This will be my last stay.

There was a man in the lobby heavily on drugs spazzing and there was no one at the check out desk for a few hours so I had to leave and check out by phone and it was still really hard to get a hold of someone to checkout by phone. They said they would email me a check out confirmation that I never received

This property is for vagrants. I’m surprised I was able to stay here. Stains everywhere, even on one of the pillowcases. Staff was lazy and they didn’t accept credit cards so I had to drive across the street to the atm. Once I had paid in cash I didn’t want to go back and ask for a refund. Didn’t go to breakfast because I didn’t want to eat with vagrants. Creepy!!

Hotel is in disrepair. Security latch on door was missing. Told front desk on first night request to repair. Was never repaired. Had to put a chair against door for security. Breakfast area was closed due to refrigeration out. No breakfast for entire stay. Do not recommend this location at all.

the property sits on the dirt lot. the pool is abandoned, a sore eyesight. the room has no AC. the thermostat hung be a wire not attached to the wall. i wouldn't stay there even they pay me.

RUN AWAY!!! The absolute worst hotel/motel experience of my entire 54 years of life. Vomit in the common hallway, improper lighting in common areas, I was given a DIRTY ROOM- blood on sheets, wet towels, full trashcans…absolutely disgusting. No room number on my room, door had been kicked in previously as noted by the separated door frame…cops in front lot arresting people, car in back lot selling drugs at the same time. HORROR SHOW. Nightmare hotel. I am demanding g a FULL REFUND.

The hotel was easy to get to from the freeway. The staff was friendly and the property was clean. Our room was clean and comfortable. There were several dining options within walking distance or a short, easy drive.

The fitness center was closed for no apparent reason. One of two rooms did not have a shower curtain. The other bathtub had silted, brown water coming out. There was no coffee service and there was no complimentary breakfast as stated for amenities and services. The deadbolt on the entry was broken.

I didn’t stay. Somehow 26 rooms were overbooked and when I arrived at 8:45 they said I would have to wait while they figured out when rooms would be cleaned and if there would be a room for me. At least five other people got tired of waiting and asked for a cancellation. I ended up canceling because they couldn’t even give an idea when they would know if there were any rooms. Plus I used the restroom off the lobby and it was really run down and smelled like urine. Also while waiting a woman came to the desk and said she was leaving and wanted a cancellation because no one came to fix the window on her 1st floor room….there was no way to lock it and it could be opened from the outside. I felt bad for the people behind the desk. It is clear that they are cutting corners from a corporate level…overbooking and not hiring enough people to stay on top of repairs and cleaning! I will never stay at a La Quinta after this experience,

My room stinks, the shower curtain smells of something rotten yet chemically, the towels are stained, there's only have a roll of TP, the tissue box is missing, the iron is missing and someone removed the smoke detector. The mini dove bar was cool. Lesson learned.... Don't stay in Las Cruses and don't cheap out on a hotel. You can do better La Quinta

We got to the hotel late due to storms and road construction, so there were not any king bed rooms available though that was our reservation. The property is old and very worn and not maintained. The desk clerk said breakfast would be at 6 am. When we got downstairs at 6:20 am there was a sign saying there was no breakfast available. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will not be staying at this place again,

The building was unkept. We were on the second floor and there was no elevator, we had to walk up stairs. We are 65 years of age. The grounds were unkept and dingy. There was no "breakfast" nor food of any kind. There wasn't even any coffee available downstairs. Just the cheap coffee pods in the room. It would have been ok for a $65/night, but I paid $158/night and I smelled marijuana in the hallways. I have nothing against pot, but it is supposed to be a smoke-free place. I will not stay here again.

I do apologize for not being able to accommodate you with a bottom floor. Unfortunately, do to the demand that weekend we did have unusually high rates. One way to ensure a desirable room selection would be to call the hotel directly the day of arrival to see what we can do to meet those accommodations. we are always eager to assist in any way we can.

alright this place was disgusting. the room smelled terrible. like so terrible. we attempted to switch rooms bc of the super kind lady at the desk to enter a room which smelled even worse. so we retreated to the first room. the sheets were stained on one bed. one hundred percent not recommended. there is apparently a newer hotel across the street...might be worth checking out.

Front desk agents clearly overworked, rooms not clean because of staffing issues (according to front desk.) Broken windows, stained carpets, mold in bathroom, security lock broken on room door. Breakfast not provided even though it’s advertised was told they didn’t have staff or money for providing breakfast. Terrible place to stay . The grounds around the hotel are also not maintained, trash and weeds throughout. Disgusting

The stay at this hotel was horrendous. Customer service atrocious. Attendant made us wait about 20 minutes while he physically checked if there was any available clean room for us, although I had a reservation. The carpet, and the chairs were filthy. The whole room as simply unsanitary. Rust in the shower head, no light bulbs for the lamps, bathroom door damaged, missing grate for the air flow vent. Never again! Unfortunately we need to stay one night.
