"We actually didn't stay here. After driving up and seeing the horrible condition of the outside and lobby area, we decided to stay somewhere. It was definitely worth losing the pre-payment to feel more safe and comfortable."
"Room didn’t have hot water.. Called and was told to wait until the morning. Who waits to take a shower after working 10 hours. The next day I come in my room thinking I had hot water and it was like warm but I look like someone took a dump in my toilet. Something was bitting me, I have a like off bites and was given sheet yesterday that had bed bugs on them"
"The room was clean and the staff was helpful; however, it was difficult to contact the staff when calling and trying to inform them that we would be checking in close to 8:00pm. No one answered the phone nor did they acknowledge the email we sent.
The one very disappointing aspect of our stay was that the bathroom only had one little bar of soap for handwashing and for showering. The soap dispensers in the hotel room bath and in the restaurant restroom had liquid pink soap like you would see in elementary schools. I would expect higher quality products. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay."
"For Memorial Day weekend, we decided to stay at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas (NM)..! :) The city is one of our favorite destinations in the state, and we love taking the scenic route (Hwy. 104) from Tucumcari to get there! :) It was our first time to stay at the Plaza. Many celebrities have stayed there, and you can read about each one throughout the hotel. (We discovered that the Plaza was used to shoot scenes for the movie, "No Country for Old Men.") The hotel has a bar and a (separate) restaurant that serves excellent food! Our room had a tall ceiling and a long window (with custom curtains) that gave the room a modernized yet luxurious feeling! The staff was also helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again..! :)"
"Easy booking on line, simple check in with a bowl of hot chicken soup available, delicious. Comfortable surroundings and easy back on to the interstate. Will stay next trip."

If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, a holiday rental can offer a sense of seclusion away from public hotel lifts and bustling concierge desks while still allowing you the experience of travel. You'll also get more space in a holiday rental than in a standard hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is an attractive option for a family trip.
