"Love the style of this hotel. We actually got an unexpected room… it was the top floor so the ceiling was actually slanted as it was the roof of the building. We hit our head a few times, but it was so unique for us that we didn’t mind. Beds were comfy and everything was clean. Breakfast the next morning was the best we’ve had and was included in our stay. We loved the variety. Parking was right in front of the building as well and easy to access. Overall would stay again!"

"Hotel Laxa is located by lake myvatn, a little further away from all the farmhouses which puts in a quiet location with views all round of Myvatn and still convenient. The staff at hotel are extremely helpful and friendly. They have a nice bar with quiet places for work and a game room as well. I stayed for 3 nights and loved it, and would highly recommend."

"Limited availability of dinner, we did not have dinner. The shower was so small that I would touch the shower curtains with every minor move. The flushing of toilet was associated with a jet-engine like thunder, so in order not to make my wife up I didn’t flush the toilet for whole night and drain it with pouring water instead. There were tons of annoying flies outside. Not a very pleasant experience"

"The location and staff was perfect! They actually let me have my own wine too in the restaurant. The food was great, I had the carrot and lentil buff and tomato soup. The only thing I did not like was the bathroom near the hot tubs - they were smelling sooo bad that I couldn’t even breathe inside, worse than a oublic toilet. Is showered in my room before the hot hub instead of using the bathroom next to it"
