"My husband and I had a wonderful stay with Jean-Paul & Genevieve in their gorgeous B&B. Located in a small countryside village, we found the location perfect for exploring the wider area, though it is remote from shops & restaurants so you must plan accordingly. The guesthouse is situated in a wonderfully restored substantial village property, with great comfort and decor, as well as a very refreshing pool in which to cool down. Hôtel Montmorency

10/10 Excellent

"Nice hotel, brilliant setting just opposite the city walls. Rooms in the annexe (where we were) are very funky, lots of modern vibes but perfectly decent. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room - which is disappointing - but apart from that, no issues. My only problem with the booking was checking in - the one member of staff was incredibly diligent, but took far too long to book people in. I know this isn't a Travelodge, but most people are experienced travellers and don't need to be shown to their rooms! But when a second staff member turned up (after 20 minutes) things moved much quicker. All in all excellent, but don't turn up when there's a queue!"

"Staff were very helpful and welcoming, and the hotel facilities exceeded my expectations. Air con in the room was great, I enjoyed having a balcony (room 208), the pool area was lovely and breakfast choice was good. A bonus was the use of a water cooler/hot water machine in the corridor. Very close to the castle area."

"Great place to stay in the centre of Carcassonne. Transfer back from and to car park was smooth and actually quite fun. The garden courtyard is a great place to cool off, have a drink or have breakfast. It was essential for us as we had our dog with us. Rooms are good but ours was very small. Great partner restaurant next door. Room quite soundproof from the partying going on nearby. Air con was a blessing. It's a quick stroll to everything Carcassonne has to offer."

"What a lovely stay. One of the friendliest hotels I’ve recently stayed at. Room was large and comfortable. Facilities are great and we made use of the pool in the heat wave. Location is fabulous and only a 5 min walk to the medieval city. Thank you so much for a lovely stay."
