I'm not sure why Hotel Pico Velasco is rated only 3 stars, perhaps due to the lack of a spa or concierge service. However, in my opinion, it deserves a much higher rating. The hotel's charm, character, and exceptional service make it a truly fantastic choice. I highly recommend Hotel Pico Velasco to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable experience. Don't let the 3-star rating fool you – this hotel is a hidden gem!"

"Good hotel for an overnight stop on the way to Santander ferry port. Slightly small room but adequate for the one night. Good evening meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was a little uninspiring."

"We have stayed several times now for a couple of days to enjoy the north of Spain whilst travelling. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the apartments are always spotless and fitted out to a high standard Bar and restaurant are good with nice outside area to take a tipple and food, breakfast is very good. Some nice walking from the door which is great if travelling with a four legged friend as it is a dog friendly apartment and 20-25 mins to a number of beaches. Parking is no problem though does get busy in the evening and weekends It is next to a busy road however the rooms are very well sound proofed so no problem there we will surely be back. "
