"We chose this hotel primarily because of its convenient location close to the airport. On arrival, the check-in staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, which made for a positive first impression.
Unfortunately, the dining experience was disappointing. The only dinner option available was a buffet, which appeared unappetising and lacked freshness. The restaurant itself felt more like a school canteen than a hotel dining venue, while the bar was located three floors away, making the overall layout rather inconvenient.
We had booked two Privilege Rooms, but both were showing significant signs of wear and tear. Cleanliness was also a concern, as we found hairs in the bedding that appeared to have been left by previous guests. The towels were heavily worn and looked as though they had been through countless wash cycles. In addition, the air conditioning units in both rooms were extremely noisy and ineffective, making it difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature.
Breakfast was served in the same third-floor dining area, and unfortunately the experience mirrored our disappointment from the previous evening’s dinner.
Overall, while the staff were excellent, the condition of the rooms and the dining facilities fell well below expectations. We were very disappointed with our stay and would not choose to return."
"Séjour très agréable au Le Lavandou ! L’hôtel est idéalement situé en bord de mer, avec un accès facile à la plage et à quelques minutes du centre-ville. La piscine est très bien entretenue et parfaite pour se détendre. Le personnel est vraiment aimable et accueillant, toujours prêt à aider. La chambre était un peu petite, mais confortable et bien équipée pour un court séjour. Une bonne adresse pour profiter du Lavandou dans une ambiance calme et agréable."
"Our friends who drive us there couldn’t find anything but a parking garage with the GPS & their van couldn’t drive down into it so we gave up & got an Uber. Our Uber driver left us down at the parking garage level street, dropped us off & showed us a big flight of outdoor stairs to haul our suitcases up to where the main floor of the hotel apparently was. At the top we found the lovely hotel and a friendly person at the desk & checked in.
The next day we were walking around on the actual hotel upper street level & found outdoor escalators that could take you to the lower street level (or up to the hotel street level.)
If this sounds confusing it was and the front desk person said he understood & that only taxis pick up & deliver on the upper level that the hotel is actually on, not Ubers.
Aside from that the included breakfast was good! The place was clean & we were glad we finally found it."
"The parking is secure and behind a security gate. We arrived late at night but we're still offered a welcome drink. There was a small issue with the hot water in the morning. The staff were very generous and extended checkout and breakfast so we could wait to have a shower. A simple gesture but very much appreciated. The rooms are economy so don't expect much but we were surprised at the quality and also the convenience. And the extra attention by the staff. Definitely a place to return to soon. We were attending Paul Ricard Racing Track which is 25 mins away but the convenience is proximity to the motorway. Ask the staff for driving routes. The area is worth exploring "
"The breakfast was comprehensive and included hot items. I purchased it for the three nights I stayed for 15 Euro each day. I paid up front and in hindsight I wish I’d paid by the day. Toulon has some wonderful bakeries open for breakfast, and they aren’t far of a walk from the hotel. I selected the hotel for its location which turned out to be great! The train station and port were short walks away. The staff were welcoming and friendly and spoke English well. I don’t think my room had air conditioning as I tried to get that working on the wall unit but could not. It didn’t matter as I didn’t need it anyway. I was there in early April with very pleasant temperatures. My window also opened to allow a fresh breeze to blow in. Overall I liked the hotel and would book there again! C’est tres bien! "
