"A friendly and helpful welcome to the Hotel and soon booked into our room and explained where to park our vehicle once we had unloaded. The hotel has a very traditional feel downstairs, charming. The corridors and the rooms themselves were decorated in a very dark scheme, which even with the lights on was a little difficult to always see well. "We didn't expect too much. We arrived decently late and tried to call multiple times to check how late we could check in, the first 2x the phone was not answered. We were asked if we want to see the restaurant menu but were not informed when it closes so by the time we went to the restaurant the kitchen had closed and no warm dishes were available. The room smelled a bit of cigarettes and had to be aired out. The layout was complicated with steps right after the door and a seperate toilet which...

"Parking was full so had to leave on the road with lots of wedding bits inside. Hotel ok but tired. Room basic. No water or tea facility. Restaurant overpriced and under whelming. I had a local dish. Local Sausage and mash. Basic sausage and mash tasted like smash. Dried potatoes. Felt a bit money grabbing. "

Sans aucun doute nous y retournerons car le village est aussi charmant, des paysages magnifiques, la nuit et son ciel étoilé, l’air pur ; C'est une région qui mérite d'être explorée. "

"The check in staff were amazing, but when we went to the restaurant it all went down hill 100mph, the staff ignored us especially the self proclaimed sommelier, he needs a rocket, even with eye contact he completely chose to not see.....the food wasnt any better, gluggy potatoes full of cheese, dry beoff..no water as asked for when we finally were asked until we asked again later, poured our own wine, and many tables were in the same predicament.. mattress was terrible, but the toom otherwise...

"When I checked in, I was so tired that i dropped my wallet on the way to my room. Thankfully, hotel staff found it intact & knocked on my door 15 minutes later. I'm very grateful to them for literally saving my holiday!"

"We had a lovely overnight stay at this gorgeous little B&B. Very different from the usual chain hotel stays we have when travelling. Catherine was so friendly & helpful & even booked us dinner at a local restaurant which was delicious & amazing value. If you are after a great value taste of rural French hospitality, the Sandine & Catherine will be hard to beat. "
