Comfortable room except A/C never worked. We could open window and the room cooled down but there are a lot of people out at night talking loudly and carousing into the wee hours of the AM. Big complaints they advertise family friendly with laundry facilities. Their laundry facility is a bag in your closet you can send your clothes out for cleaning. I found a laundromat not too far away and a patisserie and made do but I chose the hotel thinking we could get our laundry done. It is a charming old 1905 building. Just advertise accurately and fix the A/C.

We stayed on our way back from the South of France going back to England. We had adjoining rooms with our young children. We found the staff friendly and the hotel charming. It is a little dated but quirky!. It was well priced and we would recommend. Central Le Mans was very easy to walk to we would definitely try to stay here again

Despite being informed in my booking confirmation that I would only be charged €10 instead of €13 for car parking because I have a silver membership I was still charged €13 and even.when I pointed out the error to the receptionist I was told to take the matter up with Hotels.com

This is a nice, but tired, old property in an area of Lemans that seems to be in decline. We tried to find a restaurant in walking distance for a salad or sandwich around 6:30 or so and all (except McDonald's) were closed or were serving only drinks. We'd stay there again because the price was right but we'd make different dinner plans. The breakfast was very nice but overpriced for the selection provided.

The staff was very kind and professional. At the restaurant, the chef was great, the food also. I've forgot my coat and my daughter's down jacket and I've contacted the staff to have everything sent to my home in the US and they sent me everything without delays. They were very nice and cooperative. Thank you so much for your help with that!. And also the great service we got at your establishment!! Merci!!!

Tired, over ’starred’, poor standards.

This is NOT a 4* hotel. It was tired, poorly maintained and not as good as a 2-3* chain! Expensive way beyond its standard. Dinner restaurant was a joke. Silent, no atmosphere and the whole meal pre-prepared and microwaved. Wine poured in the kitchen. The list goes on. Do not stay at this hotel, it’s a waste of money and has very dated and poor standards. The Mercure 7 minutes away is paradise (we actually drove there for breakfast as the breakfast was a joke in the hotel we stayed in). You have been warned. !!!

Love the decor of this hotel but I think may have hit hard times. There does not appear to be much in the way of staff. Stayed for one night and there was no bar staff and the chef didn’t turn up! Also the bar had run out of beer !!! Hence morning breakfast on offer was 17 euros for a few croissants and cereal - nothing cooked so decided to eat elsewhere.

Great stay in interconnecting family rooms

We stayed for one night to break the journey to the Vendée region. We booked using Tesco Clubcard vouchers, and the process was very easy. We booked interconnecting family rooms, and were amazed at the size of the 2 bedrooms! We were on the first floor and had a huge super king (room 116 - overlooks the car park) and the children shared a double (room 117 - overlooks the street). The beds were very comfy, and the rooms were quiet. Staff were very helpful on our arrival and during our stay. We used the paid on-site parking (barrier entrance), which was €13 for 24 hours. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast the following morning (great selection of cereals, breads, pastries, pancakes, fruit, yogurts, cold sliced meats and smoked fish, eggs, scrambled eggs and bacon, juices and hot drinks). Our children (aged 3 & 6) ate free and adults were €16 each. The hotel is in a great location for walking in to the main areas of the town centre, and there are lots of dining options within a 10 minute walk, which was good since the hotel restaurant was closed through July and August due to the chef's holidays. A great stay and we would book again if in the area.
