"The service at this hotel was impeccable. The people are very kind and very helpful. They welcommed us with coffee and croissant, took car of our luggage as we have to go to the puy du Fou. "The Chateau Colbert has been extensively restored over the past 20 years or so to a very high standard. This has obviously been a labour of love for the present owners. The rooms are very comfortable and the views over the river and forests were outstanding. The food and service were exceptional and the dining room was a wonderful place to eat. They have the largest Japanese garden in Europe which we definitely return to see. The Chateau is highly recommended."

"Accommodation was really small and it felt like we were staying in an old garage. Bare walls, all windows frosted and crampt. No evening food available to us and no messages in advance to say that - we had to walk down a busy road for 30 minutes to get a pizza at a kiosk by a road junction. Breakfast limited and uninspiring. Looks so much better on their website than it does in person. "
