The local towns and villages are worth a visit. Bonneval 5 minutes away and Chateaudun 15 minutes away in particular. Great location for a stop of when heading to or from the south of France from the ports or tunnel in the north."

"If you like old, quaint and quirky then this is the place for you. The proximity to the Loire is unbeatable with beautiful views and walks along the riverside. The room we had (402) was huge but accessed by a very tight and steep staircase. An interesting style of furnishings but the bed was comfy with good linen. The bathroom was also spacious but some DIY to the fixings would help. The evening meal is served by restauranteurs who are not involved with the accommodation. The food was tasty and well prepared at a sensible price. Breakfast is plentiful if a little haphazard."
