"The chalet was clean, although small, there was sufficient space for our motorcycle gear and space outside to leave luggage. The area around the lake is good for walking and due to it being end of season, very quiet throughout the day and night. The breakfast service was poor and does not represent good value. The first day there were no bowls for creals and no clean tea mugs. On the second day we were the only two diners. The cleaners were in the room drinking coffee when we arrived so there was not enough coffee left. I asked for more, they gave us a flask, locked the service room and left. They hadn't made more coffee but simply topped up the flask with water so the last bit we had was undrinkable. We then realised they had locked away the breads and croissants, leaving us nothing to eat. I told the office about this and as we had only eaten half a breakfast I asked for a refund of one but this was refused. We had a long ride that day and wanted a good start to the day, not to pay for the cleaners' breakfast. Overall the stay was good and I recommend it to others but advise against having the breakfast. "We only stayed for one night at this gorgeous hotel. It’s a stunning building which has obviously had a lot of money, time and effort put into it. The surrounding area is quiet and rural. Our room was compact but beautifully decorated in a traditional french style. We ate in the hotel on the evening, the service and food were lovely. Unfortunately due to an early start we were unable to have breakfast. "

"Lovely old building with pleasant grounds but the unit lacked a great deal. Firstly, no air conditioning on a 34 degree day is a huge problem for anyone. We had to ask for a fan and leave windows on ground floor open all night in order to get some kind of sleep. NOT IDEAL for safety. Kitchen facilities were lacking, no chopping/cutting board, no sharp knife to cut anything, no microwave heating bowl, slow oven top, no egg spatula or tongs, no toaster. Basics such as little bottle of oil for cooking & small milk to use coffee machine would have been nice touch. "

"We got there just after 6pm. The place was open but there is no reception, nor was anyone there to greet us and no phone number to call. Fortunately there was a couple of guys staying there who were able to call someone who let us into our room.
I couldn’t remember if this was a pay at property or if we had prepaid so I asked the guy who told me we owed €75. We offered him our credit card but he asked for cash and it wasn’t till the next morning I discovered that we had indeed pre-paid. The proprietor promised he’d refund our money but after 3 months of to-ing and fro-ing - NOTHING.
So - apart from being left stranded when you arrive to being cheated wrt payment I would strongly advise avoiding yhis place. "

"The room for a family of 4 was adequate for a one night stay. Beds were comfortable and cleanliness was fine. Arriving on a Saturday afternoon to find the hotel was closed and we had to let ourselves in. Restaurant was also closed and the area did not have anything close by....we eventually ate at a place that was 6km away. Functional if you just want a rest stop."
