"Absolute stunning hotel. Lovely to see a hotel with so much history being restored. Currently going through refurb. Staff friendly. Breakfast amazing. Bedroom was small with no air con. Main elevator was out of order but you could use staff/service lift if needed. Car park at rear of hotel with reduced rates for hotel guests. Would definitely stay here again just not in the middle of a heat wave."

"Yet another great stay. The staff are amazing. So friendly. Rooms are individually designed. Reception is fantastic every time. Bar service lovely and breakfast is always tasty with excellent service. We will be back next rugby season."

"Just felt unclean, whire stains on sofa bed, with cigarette burns, mattress on sofa bed was a sheet of springs, not suitable to sleep on. Constant damp/unhygienic smell in bathroom, hairdryer not working. Very very noisy from outside."

"Lovely place full of character. We stayed in the mews building which is separate from the main hotel. Clean room, bathroom a little tired but the main issue was the complete lack of sound proofing between rooms. I had to ask the neighbouring room to turn down their TV but I could hear it until 0015 and I was wearing ear plugs. Next morning I heard their alarm, lots of coughing and the TV went on really early. Mentioned this to reception. Breakfast was good and value for money was good"

"This is a fabulous hotel in all aspects but I must mention the excellent breakfast in particular. So much choice and delicious. Modern environment with lots of space and high quality furnishings. Individual rooms are original and fully equipped. Our new favourite in Leicester. Good price too. Love it. Staff are really nice and friendly."

"Good point - very good location, very nice breakfast and a comfortable room with a bed enough for 3-4 people. Minus - they don't have their own parking, but you can park near the public parking at Gatecross for £6 24 hours using the hotel discount. If you are travelling with a disabled person, there is disabled car parking at the hotel where you can park your car as long as you have a blue badge. They never told us that there is a disabled car park in front of the hotel - we came to know only after two or three days. Overall, we had a good stay, but it could have been excellent if we had known there was accessible parking for disabled guests at the hotel."
