"I had not stayed at the Comfort Suites since before the Pandemic. The last time I attempted to stay here, the room smelled so bad that I had to leave and go to another motel.
This time, everything was great. I had requested an upper floor room when i booked online and the front desk person not only gave me a top floor room, but one that also farthest from the rooms that were occupied by a wedding party so it would be quieter.
When i got to the room I was pleasantly surprised. The room had been updated since the last time I was there. When i walked in the room there was no strong smell of cleaning fluid that you get with some motels. It was just a clean looking and smelling suite with two beds and a sofa, mini fridge, with a freezer section, microwave and a wet bar and coffee maker.
The beds were comfortable with pillow top mattresses and two soft pillows and two harder pillows on each bed. The large wall mounted TV had a great picture. The bathroom was clean and had a good shower.
Breakfast was very good. Two waffle machines, eggs and sausage. The woman working the breakfast made sure everything was promptly refilled when necessary.
Finally, when it was time to leave, i asked the front desk if it was possible to get an hour later check out. Linnell at the front desk, was happy to do it and asked if there was anything else he could do for me. He was very friendly and helpful, as were all the staff I had contact with.
I would highly recommend and stay here again."
"Decent hotel for the price. Staff was pleasant, room was clean. Bathroom was a strange triangular layout and a little tight, but worked fine. Always wish hotel bathrooms have ventilation fans, and this one did not (most don't - still don't know why). Room was relatively dark so that was nice. Breakfast was a little lack-luster - just some muffins, bagels, cereal, waffles and coffee and juice. No fruit or eggs or protein. Was fine though as we planned to go across the street to Waffle Shop anyway. Plenty of parking and good location on Atherton."
"I came to State College to pick my daughter up from Penn State. For me it was great. I was 5 minutes from her dorm and it was clean cozy and did I say clean , lol. You can smell the freshness once inside. I will definitely be booking again."
"We love the renovations 💙 The food in the restaurants is delicious and we had a clean comfy bed at the end of a long night. Definitely will stay again!"
