"This was the best place we have stayed in for a long time. The grounds are secure. The garden beautiful, the dining area and breakfast wonderful. It was a shame we were there in a thunderstorm so we could not breakfast outside. The host was so kind and generous. The breads were homemade as were the yogurts. We had fresh fruit and local cheeses also. The room was spacious and well laid out with a huge bathroom including jacuzzi bath, spacious walk in shower and robes were provided. "
"Great value. Friendly staff member. Spacious, modern room. Bathroom lacking cleanliness in places. Restaurant only open certain days and local eateries very limited."
"Hotel was clean and ideally placed. Bedroom overlooking the main square but no noise to disturb us. Parking simple in underground CP. Corinne on reception could not have been more friendly and helpful. "
"Used the hotel as a stop over. Hotel is very clean and bed was fairly comfortable. Hotel location was great next to a selection of restaurants which was very convenient. "
"My fiancee and I only stayed one night at Chateau de La Riviere, and I wish we had stayed longer. Communications with Alice, one of our hosts, were clear and easy. Upon arrival, we were told that we were the only ones staying that night! This made it feel like a fairy tale - a chateau all to ourselves! The historical flavor of the property made us feel like we were back in the 17th century. We were served an excellent multi-course meal by Chef Carole, who not only prepped and prepared our meal, but personally served it to us. Upon our departure, we were offered a private tour of the Chateau by the owner. The owners, their new puppy, and sweet dog were lovely hosts. They provided a custom and unforgettable 24 hours. We will return. Merci for everything! "
