The Freddie Mercury Hotel

"The room was basic but adequate for our stay. The in-room refrigerator didn't work and we asked for a replacement, which never came. The front desk clerk was nice enough to get us an ice bucket every day though. The breakfast was good. The location to the train station was excellent. Cool theme and we happened to be in town during Freddy Days for his 80th birthday."

"Mostly wonderful experience in a beautiful hotel with amazing views. There were a couple dead flies on the floor in our room which was the only disappointing thing. The other thing that was extremely disappointing was our dinner reservations seating (which we made a month in advance). We had a 7pm reservation right when they opened. They have PLENTY of seating with views of Lake Geneva which we wanted for our final night of our anniversary trip. We got there, and were placed in the interior against a wall so I couldn't even see the view at all. My husband could partially see it. I didn't ask to be moved because I'm not typically that type of person, but I was sorely disappinted and confused as to why they did that with as many open tables with a view they had, and when I had booked a month in advance. Nevertheless, we had an enjoyable stay despite our last dinner ambience being ruined. Our server was fantastic."

"A lovely high ceiling room with a mini fridge which was really useful. Excellent frequent bus service or lovely walk along lakeside to town. Use of the spa facilities in the main hotel across the road made this a bargain of a stay. Perfect for comfort and value."

"Lobby and main entry quite grand and beautiful. There was no A/C. Floor fan was available in our room, which was helpful, but with outdoor temperatures running around 28-30 F it was warm in our room. Can't really open windows at night because then one hears traffic noise etc. Would have been nice to have a mini coffee machine in the room. Mini fridge was a nice asset. Bed was comfortable. Only one pillow per person - front desk gave us a second on request. Great location!"
