"I was really pleased with our choice of Le Chamois DâOr. It is ideally located near the bottom of the magic carpet and Pioneers chair lift and really is ski in/out. The room was spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. We even had a balcony overlooking the piste. The room did not have a hairdryer so bring one (like we did) if you need that. Also, the reception staff were so friendly and helpful.
The only negatives were the noise at night, lots of...

"Appartement and location were very good overall. Itâs ski in ski on a popular run so thatâs great. The checkout procedure really lets the whole experience down and hurried they ask you to remove all bed linen and towels and place them in bags outside of the door on top of cleaning the kitchen and removing rubbish. If the cleaners are changing bed linen they can already remove it. They want you out prior to 10am after all this is done. "

"It was ok but expensive for what we got.We were told they were no towels as the hotel was full! Thereâs no room cleaning. Make your beds on arrive. Strip them and fully clean the room when you leave. And the lady in rebel ski hire was vile we had 2 children first pair of boots were to small she wasnât happy about changing them probably the wrong time of the month not the experience would expect in a hire shop. Nice little supermarket on site and friendly lady."

"Amazing stay! The hotel is perfectly located right by the slopes, recently renovated with a cozy and modern feel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Dinner was delicious. A perfect spot for a ski holiday â weâll definitely be coming back!"
"Lovely hotel - literally ski in/ski out, with the slopes right outside the doorstep (and a helpful ski locker in the basement). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitiely recommended for an upmarket experience on the ski slopes!"
"Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year! "
"Amazing hotel for a ski resort.
Room was beautifully fitted out with a stunning view of the resort and valley.
It is right at the top of the resort, but only 10 mins walk to the main group of bars, and there is a ski in and out option. Plus free transfer available around the resort.
Breakfast options were huge to start the day.
The bar was cosy and the terrace had a lovely view and sunshine.
Spa was impressive but often busy.
Only issues were that the room was often hot and no obvious way to cool it down other than opening a window/door. The boot room didnât have locks on the doors or anywhere to store skis (which I assume is because everyone rents from their ski shop but that was expensive), and even with the transfers it is removed from the centre of the resort, so you will spend a lot of time walking up and down hill - but that was our choice.
Definitely would go again."
