Very good hotel with modernized rooms.

Nice hotel with perfect localization. Car is parked by the hotel staff. Tasty breakfasts and good coffe in price. Very helpful reception staff. Room was very clean. Two thermal internal baths and good access to external swimming pools. Good quality to price ratio.

Disappointing experience. No wifi. Neither in rooms (!), nor in the lobby of the hotel next to. No coffee/tea. No parking close by, although they put “the parking available”. No lobby, no reception desk in the hotel (they use the reception in the neighbor hotel. Poor service

Ça commence par l’impossibilitĂ© de contacter l’établissement avant le sĂ©jour: pas de rĂ©ponse au tĂ©lĂ©phone ni par mail. Ça continue par un accueil qui ne nous indique pas clairement oĂč est la chambre: plus de 20 minutes Ă  errer dans les trois bĂątiments de l’hĂŽtel. Aucune signalĂ©tique claire. Ensuite, pĂ©nurie de peignoirs: aucune information
 et enfin un menu de la St Sylvestre Ă  135.- par personne, que l’on aurait honte de servir dans une cantine d’entreprise: bouillon de nouilles probablement fait Ă  partir de sachets dĂ©shydratĂ©s, « cĂŽte de bƓuf » dure comme de la semelle accompagnĂ©e de sa sauce industrielle et tiramisu qui ressemblait plutĂŽt Ă  une rĂ©gurgitation aprĂšs cuite du 31. Service dĂ©plorable
 bref, deux jours Ă  1800 francs bien mal dĂ©pensĂ©s. Fuyez!

Einmal und nie wieder!

Generell macht das Hotel einen eher heruntergekommenen Eindruck. Viele Dinge sind renovationsbedĂŒrftig. Gerade die Gartenanlage lĂ€sst viele WĂŒnsche offen und ist nicht mal 3* wĂŒrdig. Einmal wurden wir um 18:45 aus dem Pool geschmissen, obwohl die Poolanlage bis 22.00 Uhr offen sein sollte. SpĂ€ter fanden wir heraus, dass an diesem Abend die Anlage bis 20.00 offen sein sollte. Als Entgegenkommen wollte man uns einen Gutschein fĂŒr einen Thermeneintritt bis 20.00 ĂŒbergeben - aber eben, als ob man fĂŒr 1h oder mit an- und umziehen 45 Minuten eine solche Alternative in Betracht zieht. Die Rezeption war völlig inkompetent, sie wusste nicht wo die Talstation der Gemmibahn war und wie lange man dahin hat (ist die wohl meistgefragte Adresse) und man wollte uns im 3* Haus statt 4* Haus unterbringen. Unter dem Bett lagen nach der Reinigung leere Flaschen und als ich einen Verantwortlichen sprechen wollte, war der Direktor in den Ferien und die Stellvertretung nicht da... Passt alles super ins Bild. Ist bei weitem nicht 4* wĂŒrdig, lasst die Finger davon uns sucht was besseres. Keine Ahnung wie die anderen Bewertungen zu Stande kommen, aber wir haben uns da offensichtlich blenden lassen.

Kurzer Urlaub

Empfang war super, freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir durften das Zimmer bereits vor dem Mittag beziehen, obwohl wir nur unsere Koffer deponieren wollten und erst spĂ€ter zur Check-in Zeit einchecken fĂŒr 3 NĂ€chte. Zimmer war fĂŒr uns gross genug (4 Pers.) und sauber. Wir haben eine schöne Aussicht auf die Bergen und einen kleinen Teil auf dem Thermalbad. GetrĂ€nk im Minibar ist kostenlos. Praktisch ist auch, dass das Hotel unterirdisch mit dem Thermalbad und Hotel Maison Blanche verbunden ist, so dass man im Bademantel rĂŒbergehen kann. Gratis Thermalbad, welches im Hotel Maison Blanche, ist leider heruntergekommen. Schimmel und Kalk ĂŒberall. Sollte mal gross gereinigt werden. FrĂŒhstĂŒck ist toll mit grossem Auswahl. Nur das Personal sollte etwas freundlicher sein.

Confortable hÎtel rénové au centre de Leukerbad

Les prĂ©cĂ©dents avis et la note moyenne pouvaient nous laisser craindre le pire. Finalement, tout s'est bien dĂ©roulĂ© et nous avons passĂ© un trĂšs bon sĂ©jour ski-bains en famille. La rĂ©ceptionniste a Ă©tĂ© trĂšs accueillante et complĂšte dans ses explications. La chambre Ă©tait rĂ©novĂ©e, tout comme la salle de bains, et surtout trĂšs propre. Un bĂ©mol, pas de machine Ă  cafĂ© ou bouilloire dans la chambre. Les bains thermaux, inclus dans le tarif, se trouvent Ă  l'hĂŽtel Maison Blanche, accessibles en 2 mn par une galerie souterraine (1 piscine intĂ©rieure, 1 grotte, 1 bassin extĂ©rieur). Le petit dĂ©jeuner Ă©tait complet et trĂšs bon. Dommage de n'avoir que du cafĂ© filtre... cafĂ© machine sur demande et payant. Finalement, pour accĂ©der aux pistes de ski de piste via le tĂ©lĂ©phĂ©rique de Torrent, c'est 5-8 mn Ă  pied en ligne droite depuis l'hĂŽtel, aussi idĂ©alement situĂ© pour accĂ©der aux magasins et restaurants du centre. HĂŽtel Ă  recommander donc, avec une Ă©valuation finale Ă  mon avis ďun 3 Ă©toiles supĂ©rieur.

Bedingt zu empfehlen

Zimmer sind sauber und das Personal freundlich. Leider war lediglich das Aussenbad des Hotels offen. Es wurde jedoch nirgends darauf hingewiesen (weder auf der Homepage noch sonst irgendwo). Auch der Zutritt zur Alpentherme ist kostenpflichtig. Man empfahl mir, dies der Direktion zu melden. Doch auch eine Woche spÀter ist immer noch keine Antwort eingetroffen.

Winter wonderland

The hotel has thermal baths: during Covid only outdoor pool with 36 degrees water temperature available. It was amazing to swim in that pool while a heavy snowfall. We enjoyed the village where the hotel is located, it’s situated at about 1500 meters above sea level, so you have a great view and lots of snow during the season. Though get prepared for windy roads to get to the village: drive carefully as those can be slippery. Breakfast buffet was of good quality and decent variety. A family of 4 can stay comfortably in a family room. Points for improvements: water bottles were not added after daily cleaning, and water pressure in the shower is very low.

Very good pools

I was many times in this property, check in was quick, but I would have appreciated more info: for example soft drinks from minibar were on charge last time I was in the property, and free now, but nobody told us about it! Rooms are clean and nice, and have a great view, despite they are a bit small. Good quality for price and excellent thermal swimming pools! Very good breakfast.

Hotels de France und Maison Blanche, Leukerbad

Zimmer im Hotel de France schön renoviert. Die BadezimmertĂŒre konnte nicht zugemacht werden. Das Partnerhotel Maison Blanche ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Schade, dass es auf der Veranda und im Garten vor der Liegewiese kein Restaurant mehr hat. Das wĂŒrde Ambiance verbessern und mehr Hotel- und TagesgĂ€ste bringen, die den parkĂ€hnlichen Garten geniessen möchten. FrĂŒher gabs viel mehr GĂ€ste auf der Liegewiese. Schade auch, dass der Tennisplatz abgebrochen wurde und der Boden schon mit Unkraut bedeckt ist. Mit Innovation und etwas KreativitĂ€t könnte man aus dem Erdgeschoss und derv Terrasse etwas Schönes schaffen!

j'ai apprécié le plus le cadre naturel magnifique et la proximité des bains thermaux. Ce qui a été désagréable est le fait que, quand nous avons réservé une table pour le repas du soir, nous n'avons pas été informés du fait que la carte du restaurant de l'hÎtel était trÚs limitée (3 entrées, 3 plats principaux!!). Le service au restaurant a d'ailleurs été insatisfaisant.

OK hotel, not a 4-star just pleasant old Swiss hotel. No coffee in room or lobby, which was deserted. check-in was across the street at Maison Blanche, as was breakfast and the spa. I will stay there next time - it is also less pricey. both hotels are well located in a lovely town but far from the cable car to the mountains.

Es hat uns gut gefallen im De France. Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck war gut, wir hatten alles erhalten bis auf das gewĂŒnschte FrĂŒhstĂŒcksei. Das Personal war nett, ist aber noch ausbaufĂ€hig.
