"The hotel was about what I expected and don't have any serious complaints. The staff were all friendly. There were a couple of things I didn't like. When we arrived in the afternoon the door to the lobby didn't open and there was a sign stating to use the phone outside the door to call the desk. I've never seen this and wondered if we were in a dangerous part of town. Giddings, Texas seems like a very safe and nice city. We were late getting to breakfast, and that was not the hotels fault, but I did expect them to have a coffee bar as we see in all the hotels we stay at. I'm a Diamond member and have never had to use a phone or key-card to go through the front door at any other Best Western property."
"Parking was super easy and secure. Hotel located at the end of a cul-de-sac and not much going on back there either. Rooms were small, but we knew that going in. However - they were really small. Almost like 10x10. Bed as listed as queen size, but felt more like a full. Small fridge in the room. Walls are paper thin. A/C worked well. Nice walk in shower, but small bathroom. Breakfast goodies available in the morning including waffles. Microwave in breakfast area."
"When we checked in the staff could not provide keys to the room. They had a maintenance man walk us to our room and let us in. They said they would have keys ready in a bit. An hour later went to desk and they still did not have them. Left the property came back 4 hrs later and the manager handed me key without saying a word. (Rude)
Get to room try to login to internet and got error and says contact front desk. Called and the manager says well we never really checked you in. 😳. He did something and then we were able to login. Checked out next day and i requested a receipt and he said he could not give one since i booked by 3rd party. Ridiculous!!! I left, 30 minutes later and then manager calls telling me i should just call them directly for reservation in the future. There will not be another visit there.

"The staff was awesome at the Bastrop Quality Inn. The check in was easy and efficient. I made a last minute reservation at this Quality Inn because of unforseen circumstances at my prior accommodation. I needed a place to do some office work (I'm the Accountant and I needed to do payroll and tax deposits for the previous payroll). The staff at this Quality Inn allowed me a late checkout so I could get the work done. I'm very grateful for this hotel and it's staff!"
