If you’re not dining, lounging by the massive pool or strolling the bay at sunset easily ranks as a highlight. Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. You’re minutes from the Lihue Airport, making arrivals and departures effortless, yet it still feels worlds away from the bustle. Whether you’re spending a few nights before exploring the island or staying for a full week of rejuvenation, the Royal Sonesta balances resort luxury with local charm perfectly. "We really liked the central location to the town and airport. Easy access to the restaurant for breakfast. The internet was a little slow but so was data access on Tmobile. Often switching to LTE. So it is what it is. Area was older, hotel buildings also, but honestly that is what we were expecting. It is Kauai after all. The price was one of the better ones out there when not looking to go to a resort or pay resort prices. We would go back not expecting it to change much. That being the appeal for us."
