We loved this hotel. My mum, sister and I, we all loved this hotel. On the day of the arrival, we took a taxi to the closest ancient town entrance point which was around 5 mins walk away from the hotel. We went through a clean and well-built stone pavement, passed some nice shops, stepped down a stone stair, then found this hotel which was next to a clear water path, so we were pleased even when we were approaching the hotel. As soon as we arrived, the hotel owner and her staff gave us a warm welcome by offering us a nice and hot Chinese tea, some flower cakes and some cozy chats. We had a home feeling. The hotel room facilities and communal amenities are first class with a professional taste! The owner and her team offered high standard services to us throughout our entire stay and always willing to help, to provide the useful local information and to book taxi and local show tickets for us etc. All of these made our travelling experience in Lijiang super easy and enjoyable. We highly recommend the hotel and you wouldn't be disappointed...

Highly Recommend
JunPoXuan hotel is an amazing hotel in the center of Old Town Lijiang. As soon as you enter you will be greeted by the lovely family who owns the hotel. The service is exceptional and they are always willing to go above and beyond to help you. There is always staff on hand that speaks English. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. The lobby is a relaxing and nice place to have some tea with the owners. The courtyard is tranquil and a comfortable place to read a book and relax. The only thing that is not perfect about this hotel is the rooms are not soundproof like advertised. My room was off the courtyard, which was great at night because I could sleep to the sound of the small waterfall. It just was not good when there was a guest who arrived back late at night and was very loud. My suggestion is for the hotel to hang decorative signs in the courtyard area asking people to be quiet and not to advertise it as sound proof. Overall, I would 100% stay at this hotel again or recommend it to friends.

Convenient and extremely friendly staff
This not a fancy hotel but a cozy, comfortable, convenient boutique hotel with an extremely friendly staff. The hotel is located in the old city so eating, shopping, and exploring are all within walking distance. From outside the old city, it is only a short walk from one of the main entrances. The old city only allowed registered visitors so it is super safe. The hotel has been remodeled from a traditional living quarters so you get modern comfort with traditional Chinese style architecture. The staff was super friendly and has catered to all our needs.

Incorrect information on website, noisy hotel
I was quite frustrated with my accommodation. Firstly, I specifically ordered my room based on the fact that it had "river views". When I received my room there were no views except a concrete walk outside my bathroom. When I asked the staff about this and showed then my room booking specifically said it included river views, the said "That is not our fault, it's the fault of the website you booked on". I was furious! They did nothing to accommodate me. Also, the property was very loud. We had a family in the room next to us and they kids and the TV were very loud until after 11 pm! When I asked an employee to talk to the family he did, but then the family was still loud until almost midnight. I do not recommend staying here. Very unprofessional.

Maybe the time is too short,we have no chance to share Lijiang with you.I'm sorry about what upset up,but it doesn't mean that we are not professional.You have reserved our Boutique Room,and we have indeed arranged the corresponding room for you.This room is as shown in the picture.Cause the hotel building is a special wooden structure and It's summer vacation,there are kids in hotel.We try our best to interfere with noisy things.We also sepecially prepared hot milk and plum wine for guests to help them have a good sleep. I hope we can get your approval next time.

HIGHLY Recommended, Family-run boutique hotel
This property is a family home that has been in the family for several generations and converted it to a hotel. The family (staff) are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even provided us with breakfast the morning we left (6:30am). Tea and coffee in the afternoon were welcomed. Location was, in our opinion, perfect for walking the area and visiting sites.

We loved Jun Bo. Emi the hostess, spoke good english and was the sweetest informative person. The suite was huge, had a wonderful large bathroom w/ a great shower AND large bathtub. The room heater, king bed with electric blankets were wonderful on the cold mornings. The suite has the river on two sides. We always took the Chinese breakfast and coffee - it was light yet filling. Let Emi educate you about tea and she can make suggestions to go t places and arrange drivers. KNOW that the City in general doesn't take international credit cards so you need to have converted cash at the Bank of China or have Ali pay or Wechatpay . its very tranquil.

Cosy property next to the river and right in the heart of all the action. While the property is fairly humble, it was the service that made all the difference. The managers were warm and friendly, and went the extra mile to make our stay in Lijiang memorable. They were concerned about us keeping warm, and always asked about our plans for the day - even providing snacks when they learnt that we were taking a day trip out to JDSM! We really felt like family there. What was concerning though was how thin the walls were. It was easy to hear our neighbours chatting in the room next to ours. That isn’t the best situation for light sleepers.

Jun Bo Xuan Boutique Hotel Was so beautiful, keeping the old style but clean. Staffs speaks good English, very friendly, taught our kids how to make Chinese tea! Now our daughter is a tea master! Thanks for the hospitality and we will definitely come back again!

A family-run property with excellent services and manners. They were attentive to our needs, explained to us how to get around Lijiang, provided directions and suggestions, helped us booked tours and even served traditional homemade tea to us every night. Plus bonus points, they speak English well

This is one of the best places to stay when visiting Lijiang. It is located inside the old town and sits right next to a beautiful section of the river. The room is extremely spacious and comfortable. All staff are very friendly and professional. I was surprised that they messaged for airport pick up right after I made the booking. This service made our arrival to the city and check into the hotel a very easy and pleasant experience. They also gave us great advices on sightseeing and helped arrange tours and transportation. I was mostly impressed with the free daily family style breakfast. Overall service is excellent. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Lijiang!

Outstanding stay!
It was an amazing experience and exceeded our expectations. The hotel is located at a very tranquil and picturesque part of Lijiang, and has a lot of character. The family room we stayed in was tastefully furnished and everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided for. The factor which made this stay stood out for us was the service. The hotel owners were extremely warm, helpful and gracious, and treated us like family guests. We enjoyed the conversations with them about family, tea, and the local culture. Every time we got back from an outing, they asked if we wanted tea, fruits or milk for our 6 year old son. We enjoyed our trip to Li Jiang, and the stay at JunBo made it much more memorable. If we ever come back to Li Jiang, we would choose to stay at JunBo again without any hesitation.

The guesthouse was located in an excellent location, just next to the riverbank and in a quieter area of the Old Town. It’s a family run guesthouse and the owners had put a great effort to ensure their guests to have an enjoyable stay. The guesthouse was very well maintained and the staff were very friendly. My husband and I truly enjoyed our two nights stay at JunBo.

The absolute BEST of our 3+ week tour of China and Japan! It's a very small boutique hotel run by a very hospitable family. The ambience makes you instantly feel relaxed, comfortable, and at home. We enjoyed the tea daily tea, the fruits left out, and the breakfast. This entire little old town is simply enchanting. The hotel itself is first class with all the amenities you need. Our room was spacious. We really enjoyed the heated beds, heated bathroom, and soaking tub. Loved waking up to the sound of the waterfall and river outside. Anne and Tracy are lovely, so helpful and friendly. The only negative we can say, is we wish we stayed longer.

Very friendly staff, free flow chinese tea, milk and homemade prune wine throughout the day. Free airport transfers service if you booked 3 nights and above. Do not worry about the luggages, they will send their staff with a bike to get them safely to the guesthouse. It's a peaceful place to settle down in Lijiang old town.

Our favor hotel in two dozen overseas trips!
Located on a bubbling running stream in an otherwise quiet corner just 40 feet across a wooden footbridge to a main street and not far from the main square in Lijiang. Absolutely delightful spot, inside and out and we can not say too much about the people who greeted us. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. Yea, we liked it THAT MUCH!!!

My friend and I spent 3 memorable nights at the JunBo Boutiques Guesthouse right next to the river in a quiet section of the old town. The young lady at the desk spent time to help me purchase an airline ticket for a family emergency. She paid for the plane ticket when I couldn’t use a credit card. Her empathy and care went far and beyond expectations. While the breakfast menu did not offer much in terms of variety, the crossing-the-bridge noodle, congee, cooked to order eggs and the fried bread were very tasty. They also have 2 baskets of fruits available to the guests at any time. A variety of Chinese tea, ceremoniously prepared by the host, is offered each time a guest enters the Guesthouse. They serve the tea in tiny porcelain cups. There is a table with chairs set up in one area of the front just for this ceremony. This was common with all the guest houses that we stayed in. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds and a big bathroom area. The hot water in the shower worked each time as well as the drainage. Our room was very quiet with the sound of the fast flowing river in the background. There were 2 complimentary bottles of water each day. The ladies at the front desk can speak a bit of English. They help arrange a car and driver for guests who request for this service. Highly recommend.

Guesthouse stay Lijiang
The welcome from the staff when we arrived exceptional, the staff speak English very well and are very eager to assist. The guest house is a very beautiful environment and is in an excellent and convenient location. The rooms are very nice, the beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are excellent. If we were to return to Lijiang we would definitely stay here again. This guest house is excellent for a very comfortable stay in Lijiang.

Wonderful choice. Couldn’t be nicer. Located right on a canal, quiet neighborhood but short walk to shopping streets. Friendly, helpful staff, great room, Pretty courtyard, good breakfast and snacks. One of the prettiest spots in town.

Beautiful traditional home in a great location
This is a beautiful traditional Tibetan house which is located on one of the quieter and most beautiful canals in the old town of Lijiang. Ann and Tracy, who run the hotel, both speak excellent English and were really helpful when it came to arranging trips or giving advice on places to visit. They also gave us a free upgrade on our room which was very spacious and looked out onto the garden below. All the staff were very friendly and made our stay a memorable one. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Great hotel!
The guest house exceed my expectations. The surrounding of the guest house is quiet but it is also a few mins away from the busy part of the old town. I was upgraded to a bigger room though I find it too big for me. The breakfast was fantastic and I really love it. The staff there were also very welcoming. Would stay there if I visit Lijiang again.

One of the best
Excellent location and stay at JunBo. It is owned by a family, run by the 4th generation. Breakfast was extremely tasty. Staff were welcoming and helped contact local drivers when requested. Room was spacious with section separated by wooden sliding doors. The section has a bath tub, wash basin, wardrobe, and closed area for standing shower, and another closed area for toilet. Very well designed.

Fabulous staff, best location, stay here!
This small hotel made our stay in Lijiang great. The location was in a really pretty part of the old city. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. This best thing though was the warm and helpful service. They go out of there way to help you enjoy Lijiang and to make your stay fabulous. Big thanks to Ang! I also loved the little wine bar/restaurant next door.

Very nice host
Me and my husband stayed 4 nights at JunBo guest house. The host "Hua Jie" and her sister "Xiao Shi Mei" are very nice. We had nice chat with them. They provided information from local transportation, tourist arrangement, local restaurants & shops, etc. We had very good experience in Lijiang. We'll definitely stay with them when we visit next time.

Cozy boutique hotel in the heart of Lijiang
For the past three days , we have enjoyed our stay so much that I have nothing but praise for this little cozy boutique hotel. The hotel locates at the heart of Lijiang Old town so you can enjoy the atmosphere and the ambience of living in an ancient Chinese city. The hotel was renovated from a court yard home of a Nashi ethnic family who has been living there for four generations! And the hospitality and service that they offered was nothing but the best! Another big help is their English fluency which is very crucial for travelers who can't speak Chinese. The two sisters who run the hotel are both friendly and caring. They would do their best to make your stay comfortable, safe and relaxing. From offering all day complimentary tea service with all kinds of Pu er teas that Yunnan is famous for, to making sure that we had our packed breakfast ready the night before when we had to leave early the next morning for a day trip! They looked after the well being of their guest as ones of their own family. Even though the hotel itself is an ancient home but all rooms are newly renovated with modern facility with separate shower and toilet. All rooms have courtyard view of a traditional Chinese garden with Koi pond so it exudes an ambience of serenity and peacefulness!

Best home stay hotel in Lijiang
Best hotel in Lijiang Ancient Town. The owner is very decent and gentle lady.Hospitality makes you feel at home.They service very traditional breakfast every with local food rice noodle and milk.The owner also has her own tea business,so they also offer very nice Chinese team from time to time. Great view inside the hotel and quiet atmosphere at night. Do remember to contact the owner before you arrive at their hotel so they can arrange the labor to help you with your luggage. Near the soy the entrance of the ancient city, very convenient to go everywhere for sightseeing. Will choose again for next trip.
