Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sikeston Southwest by IHG
8/10 Good
"Staff was super nice, giving us more than plenty towels upon request as I mentioned reviews found the suite was only equipped with towels for 2. A convenient and cozy place to stay for a night. Adequate hot breakfast. Gym is small with only bikes, treadmills and weights. The A/C on the wall in the gym was dripping hard. Our room was near the elevator and the wall seemed to be as thin as cardboard as I could hear every sound throughout the night. Bed mattress too soft for me."
"Was a very clean, quiet place to stay. My only complaint was the breakfast was disappointing. They only offered cereal or waffles. Being diabetic I couldn't have either 😥. Yogurt, fruit, eggs/bacon/sausage would be good options. The staff was very nice and helpful."
"During summer time, don’t park behind the building. There’s a pond in the distance and the light draws a TON of mosquitoes there, but the other entrances are all fine. The pond makes for a beautiful view with ducks and cranes, though.
Everything about the bed was heavenly. Send the whole thing to my house, pronto! LOL
The supplied shower body gel, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion by Zero% is to die for! Smells great, super moisturizing, and good for the planet? Wow!
The free breakfast was awesome! Waffles and fresh oatmeal with a HUGE variety of toppings, cereal and milk, juices, coffees and teas with sweeteners, sugars, creams, and real honey, cocoa, yogurt, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, ranch potatoes, bagels (soft!), muffins, scones, toast and all the spreads for them, fresh fruit… what more could you need FOR FREE?
Love love love the packaged reusable/disposable coffee pod holder for the coffee maker in the room. No more worrying if it was cleaned, cleaned properly, or used to wash someone’s underwear beforehand.
Water pressure, shower head, and temperature was just right. I wish the light would stay on during the shower, though. And even with the door barely ajar the light and fan was still kicking on when I wasn’t in the bathroom. I was in the bed. Alone.
Air conditioner/heater is a vast improvement from the old style in other hotels. It has a wall control just like home!
The TV is giant!
Anyway, will absolutely be back more than once. Thank you!"
